@gd

Have a 202o SP 151 on the way, but still like that stealthy sleek look of the 2019... nice trio 👍

Nice! Digging the vinyl job on the Greats. Have you had a chance to ride it yet? What do you think?

Not yet. I will be taking it out sometime this week  tho. Sized down to the 154 for a dedicated park board. Stoked on how the vinyl turned out too😎 It will be my first time riding the full camber optimistic. Got high hopes since I love the optimistic from 2016.

I my Pyre showed up this week, and its looks great.  Unfortunately, I think I'll have to send it back, as it appears to have a pretty significant looking manufacturing defect.  It looks like someone messed up the cassette pressing it or something.  The sidewall and edge are pushed up right at the contact on the left side, looking from the base, and you can see the outline of the core.  It is creased upward on the topsheet as well, and I think it may compromise the fibreglass.

What do you guys think?  Do you figure it's likely messed?  My gut says don't trust it.  It's right at the nose contact on my heel edge, so that will be getting a lot of force applied to it.  The Boardroom will take care of me one way or another, I'm sure.

It breaks my heart, though, because the shape is excellent.  Nice low camber with an excellent nose Blend. Also, I was surprised by the weight; it's really light.

So, as an update, the boys at the Boardroom took care of me and are sending me a Yes The Y 157 as a replacement.  They're sending me a return label to send the Pyre back and shipping me a board that costs $160 CAD more than the one that arrived damaged.

I'm quite pleased with the customer service I am receiving, and I'm really looking forward to taking this one for a spin.  I'll post some pics when it arrives.

If I like this, I see myself buying the Tranny 57 split.

Giving up on Prior?

I don't know. I still love the Prior decks I have, but Korua really interests me a lot, and Milo carries them so that means I can buy and order them local. If I like this deck, there could be a changeover of brands. Over the years I've tried various decks while having my Priors, a Yes PYL, US Shapes Deep Reach, but they always weren't quite what I wanted. After reading a bunch of reviews on Koruas I think I'm go na like them. Then I really dig their philosophy as well of 2 year product cycles and no graphics.

We'll see, in less then two weeks my resort will open up and I'll get out on this thing.
