attention gear nerds: my 2010 yes GDOH einstein is finally dying on me - i cracked the core. it was my go to resort board when i want to ride park and hit sidehits. i fuckin love that board but am now looking for a replacement.

criteria:

  • true twin
  • ~250 mm width (no wide boards)
  • ideally have camber or flat between the feet and reverse camber outside the feet
  • medium stiffness - this is going to be my resort dork around board

as of now i'm considering another yes greats or a capita DOA.

suggestions?

Burton Process was pretty fun for me. 57 was 25.2 cmm ww, iirc. Medium flex but mine was the last year of camber. Think it's Purepop now, and the new Paramount is the "new" Process camber?

There are a ton of boards that fit this criteria. You could get another yes, or maybe check out the Jones mountain twin, and the list goes on.

Custom was first thought, but he stated True Twin so figured Process more fitting. And I'd say Process is more on the softer end of Medium from my exp. Lots of fun as a playful resort/park deck tho imo, but I'd rather the Custom instead as it's better at higher speeds.

Also, isn't the Beast on the stiffer end of twins?

I think Custom is essentially now a True Twin between the contact points (twin flex and shape) it only looks directional because the nose-kick is longer and higher than the tail-kick. I also don't think it is actually set-back stance between the contact points, I think it's setback relative to the total length (taking longer nose-kick in to account).

Nitro cannon

😂.

And @tierarzt, ya I agree it pretty much is twin. I prefer the Custom personally, bit stiffer and slightly wider than the Process. Was my DD for a while.

The sidecut on the greats seems kinda unique so I’d probably go with another greats.

I owned a process camber for a while and just couldn’t get comfortable with it.

Greats is such a solid board. Recently been thinking about getting another one. Would pull the trigger but can’t find the 159 in stock anywhere!
