I'm stoked to see that L1 has taken pretty much everything to 20K/20K.  They have my favorite aesthetic by a mile, but every year they just barely miss on the jacket I want from them.  Need a 20K shell with ample pockets, in something that's not black, yellow, or orange (military would be perfect), and without a collar that goes up to your eyes.  I have a 60g insulated jacket from them from a few years back that is fantastic, but it has to be so damn cold to wear it.

20k seems kinda silly with just critically taped seams, though.

does it? methinks the average joe would never be able to tell what seems are taped and what arent, unless the "critical" ones weren't taped either. anoraks with zippers on the side, yeah that isn't taped.

your big main front zipper? not taped.

those same average joes don’t have a clue what 20k even means, either, though.

Most people know the higher the better and goretex, but not about the taped seams lol. But does it even matter that much for most people?

Stuff like that is only going to come into play when it gets pretty wet. In the northwest, we ride in rain somewhat regularly, so it’s nice to have the fully sealed, highly waterproof stuff. That said, I have had a good handful of 10K pieces, some of them with only critical seams sealed, that did great for me in a super wet conditions.  They were pretty much all from Holden. One was the Burton love jacket that had a heavier duty outer material that seemed to shed water really well.

Black fishtail & stone green oakwood pants 👌

(& vice versa)

you would love the fishtail. I forget if next years is the same material, but the current one is bomb.

I’m sure I’d love the jacket itself, just never been sure about the “tail”...

I do miss being in Holden. Wish I could try it on these days.

the tail is weirdly my favorite part.  🤨

i’m all-in on fishtails, and longer cut jackets in general.

I guess I just like a traditional bottom to my jackets, but it might just be what I think, without having ever tried the fishtail. I already wear a longer cut, so I have thorough butt protection with two layers of outerwear. Do you guys just like the aesthetic?

Any of you have real world pictures wearing it?

I'm with Spenser, not as keen on the fishtail design as well.

And wish Burton would make a deck that had the specs of the Skele Key (the 58, specifically) but around the stiffness of the FA. That would be my ideal B board, I think.

What about the leader board? It’s meant to be pretty stiff.. not sure on specs though.

About IPP i ve not doubts , made in austria and in this season i ve saw something and seem made very well... instead about Nightmare i don t know anything , i only know that they are made in Colorado .. i think, seeing their videos , more freestyle focused ... boh i ll try them next season..

Iirc, it's more on the regular side of ww's. Similar to the Speed Date, I think.

I find that the ww's for majority of next year's FT seem to be more on the regular end, from what I can remember. The One Hitter's the closest to my taste in ww, but based on the feedback on here and stated specs, it sounds like it might be softer and tighter than I prefer. HH would've potentially piqued my interest if it had the OH hitter ww specs.

Only targets next year: Nitro Banker and the Union Team Forces. Maybe the Nidecker Smoke, once I learn more about it's flex and ww.
