@Parker congrats for this, not have Ultras but love this type base, fully cushioned and with small disks, like Contact Pro. I think this is great choice.

The Ultras are rad.  I rode them on a BSOD all year and I loved them, except for perhaps the heel strap.  I swapped to an Atlas heel strap half way through the season, they seemed better, but it might have been all in my head.  I rode the 16/17 Ultras with the new heel strap and I think they're perfect.

Im solely on Unions these days. Every binding Ive rode from them is super comfortable and I can't say that for any others I've been on.

Binding Quiver:

Pinstripe Datas (2009?)

First year contact pro

Mike Parillo Asymbol (with the feathers)

Adam Haynes Asymbol (this years with trees)

The two Asymbol colabs are probably my favorite. The better straps on those models make all the difference

Do you have the Atlases as well? If so, what are your thoughts?

Thinking of adding a pair.

I've got year 2 contact pros with ultra high backs as my main binding these days. Comfort, response, and board feel love it.

I have the last year they made the atlas before the brought them back (2014?) and they're ok. I have forces and the ankle straps on them just don't feel right for some reason. I have the camo superforces though and those are probably my most favorite bindings ever. super comfortable and the feel pretty light to me.

I've got a pair of Atlas based SuperPros from a few years ago.  They are great too.  I love the dampness of them.  If you have the means I strongly suggest the Ultras.  It's super damp, with a nice stiff highback.  But you're probably familiar with that with your current bindings.  I also the force based team bindings and love them too.  I think matching your board and binding setup for the conditions, while unnecessary, helps the overall experience.  I guess i'm lucky to have a good quiver.

Debating snagging the new contact pros and swapping bases since they're the Ultra build from the past couple seasons. Loved my Forces and was sad to see them go but I had a homie hard-up for cash that destroyed his old bindings so had to pass them on.

Completely agree it's not necessary but it can make a reasonable difference. After a couple days of rutted out and beat up terrain this past season on my NOWs, I was married to them on days with rough conditions. Just so damp.

My local shop usually gets a couple pairs of each. They go pretty quick but talk to shops before the orders come in and see if you can claim a pair.

I had not noticed before, but from this year Unions will have new measuring system. For the mens boots S=5US/8.5US, 37EU/41EU, 230/265mondo--M=8US/11US, 40.5EU/44EU, 260/290mondo- and L=10+US, 43+EU, 280+mondo

I missed that too. good catch. I was wondering when they'd do away with the old sizing description. I always thought it was a little redundant having S/M, M/L and L/XL.
