Might have to get a set of those tittie binders with the hanging loose shirt piece on the backside of the highbacks.

if you were serious about that, you better be really motivated...

2019 version of the Union Force Team has been released. Essentially a "SuperForce". Straps are upgraded to the ones used on the Strata (both ankle and toe). All white everything with a black logo on the highback. Just ordered a pair for myself. Some park kid will probably end up stealing whatever setup I have them on just to get the bindings...

Convince me otherwise 😀

Like Shredder... my bindings of choice are Genesis, Genesis X, Now Drive and Now Pilots.

I was very close to buying the stratas, but my new super 8 has a weird insert pack on the back foot with the last pair of inserts moved back an extra 2 cm, so there's a 4 cm gap. That would mean that I wouldn't be able to run stratas w/ the minidiscs on those rear-most inserts, and I tend to slam my stance as far towards the tail as I can.

I think the Strada is the same baseplate as the Falcor except not canted.  Falcor reminds me of a Force-Atlas hybrid in terms of baseplate flex.

I'm fairly positive the Strata is canted.  I didn't think it was, but fondled it a couple weeks ago and I kind of recall being surprised to see that it was.

jury has always been out for me on Unions.  I always want to try a pair but never have.  Vita's have been too comfy and easy.  Unions have also been so polarizing with friends--some love them, some hate them.  My hesitation has always been the straps and the shared ankle/heel cup hardware rotating with strap movement and loosening.

The Strata caught my eye for sure and in chatting with a few friends I'm mulling over them vs the Atlas actually.  I like the canted footbed and the new straps that are on the Atlas a little better.  I've fondled a pair last year and liked that the hiback was softer than I expected and felt softer than the Force surprisingly, which is a plus for me.  Haven't seen Strata's in person yet.  The base also seemed a little heavy on the Atlas but not sure how much of that translates to boardfeel and/or dampness.

Anyways, Lupo's got me on the Atlas itch and said the hardware's changed for this year to prevent the loosening issue at the ankle/heelcup.

So my question is--who's in the Atlas fan club and can give me some feedback.  I'm probably ordering a pair today regardless cuz ya know EL and such

Atlas is my favorite all around binding - it doesn’t feel thiCC and unresponsive like the Contact Pro (IMO) and not so connected like the Force.  The binding has a consistent flex feel whether tip to tail or toe to heel which is my favorite attribute of the Atlas.  I like them best with a team shape highback or a softer one overall.  They are great on any board, I pair them on everything in my quiver.  No need for a stiffer or softer binding going board to board.

It seems like a lot of people have problems with Union hardware but I’ve never had any. I just check the screws on the heel cup before I go ride and they’ve never come loose on me.

Favorite binding is the older Team/Superpro Atlas, Team highback, with the old Malavita straps or old Diode straps.

I say buy a pair! Will be easy to resell if you don’t like them.

If you want to try out a pre-canting pair, shoot me a message on IG and I can loan you some for the season!
