At that time, the fish 150 was just a normal, smaller fish, kind of aimed at women. The LTD construction was on the level of a customX, but it wasn’t stiffer than the regular fish that year. I still have both and I feel like the regular one might actually be the stiffer one. I don’t think I ever noticed a difference in how they rode, but the LTD sure is nice. I’ve had some of my best rides ever on that board. Got the 56, but would also love the 160.
Huh, 2003 fish HD, seems like an attempt to promote the fish, given that was only its second year
@coleslawed looks like a demo board.
That's a 'testing' deck, the sort that was used during testing phase to get rider feedback (as opposed to demo decks that you see a year prior to the consumer release date at tradeshows and on-hill demos that are pretty much final spec with production graphics).
Back in the day, the shop I was working at got a deck with the same base, but with a pink topsheet. It didn't have that shape though.
The third piece to a full set 😋
Still need that goldfish 56 though...
This off-season produced... ended up with all the 2008s. Black one is the latest from an OGBMB member. It’s absolutely mint, and the most I’ve ever spent on a snowboard.. totally worth it.
Which size @Tom? There's a guy with the 2007 156 (blue) on snowboard trader.
I don't like the latest generation either. BUT, those true s-rockers from 09-13 are great boards, especially the 12 and 13 whose profiles are like B's current "directional camber" used on a lot of FT boards.
Really looking forward to riding that white 160, which will hopefully be soon! Finally getting some snow.
Full camber fish 160 IS SO GOOD! New favorite for the top 3. So fast, so stable, floaty, aggressive carver, retaining “point it” freeride feel and also quick turning if necessary. Just had someone ask if it was a Moss too, haha.
Like I found to feel best when riding the 56 last season, I’m riding it all the way forward on each insert pack, which is my preferred 22” width.
