I have what might be a wild & crazy idea to put it to rest

what size/model boots and bindings do you have on that board with a 262mm waist?

Not sure if I'm game enough to declare that in here. It might be seen as an unlucky number???

Answer: The wrong size

There is never a time where your binding toe ramp should be overhanging the edge as much as his are in the first pic, like an inch.

in my opinion you shouldn’t be looking at a fish if you have a foot larger than 11, and that is pushing it.  The waist width is not as important as the tail width.  With a tail that narrow and big feet you will be booting out on steep terrain constantly.

It totally depends on what angles you're running.

Boot out is also significantly less important in powder.

Worst comes to worst, you can also look at risers which do a look to increase your edge angle before booting out.

You claim to see past fisheye distortion and tell how much the board is angled in this pic? Can't see the tips for reference so hard to tell. In other pics seems normal as spenser pointed out.

I haven’t been tuning in to this whole discussion. I can say though those bindings are either too big or set up wrong. There should never be any binding overhang like what is pictured. Sucks if you have big feet, but it’s just not right. If snow can build up between the end of the binding and sidewall of the deck, your shit is not right.

Okay, so you have size 13 boots. Not ideal, but whatever. So, the answer is to get a panhandler.

What would that help? Would result in just more toe overhang.

+36/+21 stance angles bro.

Get a wide board. Some of these Koruas are very wide.

Keep your fish. Ride it in pow. Get a panhandler 56 for the middleground that’ll take you anywhere. Then get a Korua for a ripper that does it all. Also get a yes 420. And a Lib short-fat.

38 years and you still don’t know how to mount bindings properly.

Nice job!

If you've got size 13s and want to ride a fish, the 2011-12 164 does pretty well. Still not quite as wide as I would like, but it's rideable. I was finally able to find one this year, and it's a fun change of pace from my other directional boards.

As for the binding set-up stuff, it does look to me like there is some weird forced perspective stuff going on in the one photo. Also, with large bindings, sometimes the toe ramps do very slightly overhang the edge of all but the widest boards. It's not that big of a deal. Those of you with smaller feet and bindings are lucky that you never have to worry about this. For those of us with size 12s and 13s, it can be a total pain in the ass. A size 13 is somewhere between 2.5-3 cm longer than a size 10, and yet I am usually on a board that is around 1 cm wider than the board that someone with a size 10 boot might be on (25.5 waist vs 26.5 waist). I am guaranteed to have somewhere around 1.5-2 cm more combined toe/heel overhang than you are. This is one of the reasons why I love the trend towards wider boards, especially in some of the full-sized directional shapes. My Moss 70SW has a 277 waist with a 327 nose and a 307 tail. It's awesome.
