Does anyone know is that neon green jacket Danny Davis worn 2020 Cyclic jacket or Tusk jacket? And why Tusk jacket is so expensive?

I have to admit, 2020 new retro palette is growing on me.

Pretty sure its the Tusk jacket.. 3L goretex pro is always expensive. I like it too, dunno if I could justify that much for a jacket when there is as good if not better fabrics available and a much cheaper price...

5’9 (176cm) - 172Ibs - (78kg) - Goofy - US 9.5 B SLX, 9 Ion, B Cartel, Genesis, Now Pilot (med). Taper, camber, pow shapes

I mean it's easy to find Hover/Freebird jacket at 30% off, but I don't see Tusk jacket on sale often.

New here and been reading through this board for the last hour looking for comments on the stun gun. Seems like everyone is going with their normal board size or longer. I heard that sizing down was okay, maybe intended on the stun gun. Picked one up recently on a decent discount in the retro flavor cuz I liked the vibe but now wondering if it'll be too short. I'm about 165lbs and 5'9".

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

wasn't the Tusk a mid-late season release?, i'm sure it'll be discounted in the summer

does anyone else besides Burton AK and Patagonia have lifetime warranties on their gore-tex stuff? - probably factors in a lot into their priciness

Arc'teryx have a 'practical product lifespan' warranty which is effectively lifetime, within reason. If you've put in 50 days a season for 10 years I wouldn't expect any manufacturer to fully replace a product with that kind of useage, but they're similar to Patagonia in the way that they really would rather repair a product than have it thrown out.

Mammut, TNF, Mountain Hardwear, OR. Technically all goretex products have a lifetime warranty

Honestly I feel, as a customer, life time warranty, which covers only manufacturing defects, should not be one of reasons that makes me more willing to pay.

Maybe that's just me being cheap lol.

GoreTex's warranty policy is applicable to any GoreTex product, regardless of manufacturer:

https://www.gore-tex.com/support/guarantee-and-returns

Similar to other companies' lifetime warranties, the products that carry such a warranty from Burton are for the "reasonable lifetime of the product" and not the owner's lifetime. From Burton's website:

"The term "Lifetime" refers to the reasonable lifetime of the product. This does not mean your lifetime but rather the lifetime of the materials and components that go into the finished product. We do our best to select high quality materials and components that meet our quality standards, but even the best materials have a lifespan and will eventually degrade. We evaluate a product’s lifetime by its intended use and how much use it gets, and not by how old it is."

https://www.burton.com/us/en/warranty

Burton's limited lifetime warranties on luggage, bindings (just the baseplates), and GoreTex outerwear appear to be the same as their major competitors' (Dakine for luggage, Union for bindings, and all Gore outerwear). Their "the channel" boards have a three year warranty rather than the one or two year warranties that appear to be more common with other brands' boards. Burton's limited lifetime warranty on non-Gore outerwear and their full soft goods line does appear to be unique.

I have heard that Burton has an edge in warranty servicing with their W48 Riders' Services program. My experience with making a claim on a pair of boots last season was okay, but it didn't quite live up to their stated timelines. After receiving my RMA number and shipping my boots to them using overnight express shipping (at my expense), it took them a little more than a week and several email prompts from me to process my claim, and another week and a half to ship my boots to me, which they did by UPS ground. All told, it was about three weeks that I was without my boots. I was glad that I was able to get them replaced, but I had hoped for faster service.

what size did you go with? it's basically a mid-wide so I wouldn't size down too much. The 55 and 58 are pretty similar in specs so i don't think you could really go wrong unless you don't like a longer board. Judging by your height/weight the 155 would be ideal in my opinion.

Thanks psklt. I got the one with retro graphics which only came in the 150cm so definitely shorter than i'm used to. Nose is longer than anything i have (154-156), but the tail is super short. Would've gotten the 155cm but the site i got it from only had the retro 150 or the normal 158 on discount and having seen the "size down" recommendations, I got the 150. Probably won't be my main pow board but hopefully can be my fun tree board (fingers crossed).

150 lbs on a 158, feel pretty short, pretty quick in trees.. Cannot imagine being on a 150.

190 lb on 158.  Would not go shorter, but I don't ride trees much

if you're 165 a 155 sounds about right..  It's a mid wide so I wouldn't size down too much.
