But more importantly, def looking to get those highbacks next szn.

the mountain logo vita backs? why? it's just paint that'll get scuffed or be covered by your pants. save your money and just have @spenser make you a few die cuts instead. that way when one inevitably gets fucked up, you can replace it with fresh one. no point in spending $80 for a cosmetic change on the most cosmetically vulnerable part of a binding (aside from the heel cup).

Do people still run pants over their highbacks? I feel like I haven't seen that in a few years.

I remember when highbacks out was pretty rare. I think what started to change it was when pants stopped being so massive, thus it became less fitting. And, honestly, seemed to be in line with when Union started doing the big U on the back and everyone was repping it... maybe that’s just a coincidence

At any rate, if anyone has usable highback real estate that you’d like to utilize, hit me up for decals 🤓

That guy's heelside turns. Looks like he's recovering from an injury the way he's riding.

Yeah. Good rider. But looks like he was either nursing a knee/quadriceps injury, 110% exhausted from riding the whole day/week or breaking-in new boots... maybe all of the above.

If my highbacks are super low-profile like a Diode, I'll run my pants over them. But the last couple seasons, I've been on the Genesis so my pants run on the inside now. There's too much going on there to comfortably pull my cuffs over them.

I think sometimes my front foot pants end up over the highback but never my backfoot. Half and half? Maybe sometimes. As long as they're over my boot I'm good.

It has been over the highbacks forever for me. I have had Achilles problems since the mid-90s. I hate when the pants bunch up between my boots and bindings, particularly in wet conditions. It creates pressure points on my Achilles and generates additional pain.

Pants under?  Fuck that noise.  Quit wearing women’s pants.

I run my pants under my highbacks, but I make sure that they're over my ankle straps. I can't feel any fabric bunching behind my achilles, but if my pants end up caught under my ankle strap, I can feel them tug when I bend my knees.

I used to run my pants over my highbacks when pants were fucking huge. Now, not so much. My Volcom bibs don't even have a slit at the ankle, so it would be kind of an effort to run them over. Next time I ride (maybe this weekend at hood?), I'll be on the lookout for people ruinning them over.

I can't stand pants under.  I'm with Mig, pants over the highbacks because I can't bear the feeling of bindings tugging on the back of my pants.  Agreed about current styles though, my Volcom L Pants are plenty big at the bottom, but current Burton swash pants and freebird bibs can get pretty tight over the highback, in fact I leave the zipper wide open on my back foot just for more room.

If your pants are bunching between boots and highback to the point you can feel it at all, you are doing something wrong

If you can feel your pants being tugged on by the highbacks, your pants are definitely too short

This is not to say there is anything wrong with either option

Not a fan of pants under the highbacks but it kind of happens by itself sometimes when I’m strapping in already gliding and just don’t care either way or can’t be bothered. Otherwise, over the highbacks. Zip slits too, I try to avoid pants without them

My front foot is always pants over, probably because that boot stays strapped most of the time. Getting off lifts I just strap in and get going and don't think about it so the back foot is usually under.
