They need to bring back camber. Never thought I'd see them bringing back that old Ride 3D construction tech on the SuperDOA.

Hype-wise I think they aren't an edgy small brand anymore, they are now a big mainstream brand. They've never really been the same since Jason Brown quit/was pushed out.

I'm thinking about getting an Asymulator, anyone care to talk me off the ledge?

I won’t.

the majority of the line is camber-dominant, and, no disrespect to Jason, but he left probably close to 15 years ago now. if anything, their heyday was in the handful of years after he left.

Their line could do with a tapered, directional, all-mountain ripper.  Essentially, the BSOD or Warpspeed with taper.  I think people would be into it.

they have an assortment of cambered decks for the dummies that still think its the best way to go.

I agree with you on pretty much everything but this. Unless you're riding a lot of pow, camber is the way to go. Even for pow, I would only want nose-rocker/early-rise.

Imo the capita spring break thing was pretty hype until people realized the builds didn't seem to hold up and others started making cool shapes that did. I know I've strongly considered buying a spring break several times but don't due to issues I've read about.

Also not having those weird shapes directly associated as capita in their line made their lineup seem a bit ignorable (not a word?).

Always have rad graphics though.

Isn't that the Navigator?

Rocker or flat 2 rocker is better in pow than camber.  It's so blatantly superior there's really no room for discussion on the matter.

There's always exceptions and they add up with variables such as where you ride, the speeds, the terrain, the skill level, personal preferences, board design, etc.

On a whole I really don't have a lot of desire for camber anymore but change some of the above variables and I start to want different things from my boards.

I've got an OG Sick 66.  While it's not anywhere close to a daily driver due to the surf construction/rocker/profile, nothing I have owned or demo'ed has ever ridden like it while in pow or busted up pow.  I'll be keeping this thing as long as possible and is my go to on the deepest of days.
