I dunno.. my CK Nug is an all mountain board that works in pow and in the park, but it's definitely not GREAT in pow, nor in the park..

The Name Dropper is great in the park, the fish is great in pow..

They both work on groomers, but the ND in pow or the fish in park.. not really.

That's what i meant with "quiver" boards.

To me, the orca looks like a short pow board, like a fish.

It has a C2 shape, which sucks on groomers.. (my friend rides a "dark series" and the old camber T. Rice Pro model almost exclusively on groomers, so he knows how much better camber is than a "stiff C2")

Looks like in those conditions, Eddie Wall would have been better off on something with more nose. Something like a birdman.

idk, doesn't look like that orca is struggling to stay afloat.

look at the angle of the board. Looks like he's really back-leggin it. With a board with a longer nose you wouldn't have to be so far back on the tail, have no rear-leg burn and be able to go faster, in my opinion.

Anyone end up getting on the early release JL Dagmar? It intrigues me on paper. Yukio's love for the htper kyarve has me more accepting of C2. Stats on the Dagmar look great. REALLY dig the shape and the graphic is neato

I ride the 160 HK and it's been an amazing board. After one day on it I sold my SPAM and my Mullair. It's basically the only thing I ride now other than my Deus Pike.

Dude, that got me so amped.  Myself and some buddies have been tossing the idea of heading down to Terrace for a couple weeks of touring this winter.  It will either be down to Terrace or over to Valdez, and that might have just put me all in on the Terrace option.

That's pretty fair.  I really enjoyed the fishing, but not everyone is going to dig that, and the intended audience is snowboarders, not fishermen.  My die-hard fishing buddies have no idea who Eric Jackson is.

All the same, that was right in my wheelhouse.

my personal favorite decks.  mellower sidecuts, beefier feel, nostalgic brand for us northwest/Alaskans......

one of my top 5 decks of all time has become the Mullair. we get each other... haha.

how is the magnatracion and c3 on the Mullair, i'm on the fence between a 159 wide Mullair or E Jack

Very mild MTX.  The Ejack is still mild, but maybe a hair more.

Both are legit camber, maybe flat in the middle. Not a low C3, but not as high as the Phoenix.

I found them to ride almost identical.  I just like the Mullair shape a little more (purely visual), and although I don't mind TNT, it has a sintered base.

I was going to comment that the 2019 Ejack was sintered, at least in the dealerbook it was, but it's listed as TNT on the site. 🙁

Definitely go with the Mullair!

thanks, my old Altered Genetics was one of my favorite boards ever, still had plenty of pop even when i blew it up, haven't been back on a mervin since, the Mullair core sounds like the same core in that Altered Genetics, snappy, but can lock into the flex
