Videos like that make me question how some reps get their job

About half the reps I meet make me wonder how they got their jobs. There are some rad ones, but there are some complete fucking morons in that business...

I'm open to a career change. I'd bet I'd be at least only half as shitty as the worst rep out there.

LOL @spenser was the first person I thought of the moment I saw that part, or EL as a whole actually. Was like, unless I missed something, the dudes are gonna ripppp on this series more so than they already have. Extruded?! Loll these dudes must be super ripped or something 😂.

@coleslawed, come get your dude? Better yet, maybe Gus should hire you for qc before these vids come out 😅.

Still want a fusion... but do I just wait until I can get a banker?

I want a Banker in 162 size...

It's a lotta board by today's standards. I think you'd be fine on the 159 to be honest!

Im a 115kg+ dude and more edge on ice is nice

180cm (5'11") I 102kg (222lbs) I 265MP (8,5US)
Go wide!

“That’s a lot of board” is what someone said when I got the squash 59. Yet, I am looking to get the 63?

Nah

Even if it rode a bit bigger, that’s still not “a lot.”

That’s the same guy on the orca 53 @ 269lbs who said that

(no offense to anyone who weighs 269)

I hear ya.

But I think it would more have to do with progressively beefier core profiling on bigger sizes. I don't think for a second that edge length should be the first indicator for edge hold, never.

Matter of perspective. For my usual kinda riding a full camber stiff directional charger is a lot even though I'm a relatively strong rider at 145lbs (bit under 70kg). The 162 PYL rides kinda small, but it's still a lot to throw around. A 163 Squash would kill me on my first pow butter atrempt, hah.

For the kind of riding the squash is for, I'd grab a 159 nevertheless no doubt.

haha, I'll let him know. I feel the same as y'all when I'm talking to reps about boards at these demo's.

@parker Haven't had a chance to try the party wave yet. What didn't you like about it (other than the extruded base)? Sounds like they didn't release too many of them this season and people have had a tough time finding one, so it'll prob be super easy to unload.

I've only ridden it one day and it was hella squirly and really soft. The conditions weren't the most ideal. It was like 6-8" wet pow on top of crusty spring conditions at brighton edge hold was not great. I wished I brought my fusion that day. I should probably give it another chance in more slush or pow conditions before I unload it. The Surfer def does not impress me at least not worth $1200 I'm selling if anyone is interested.

Sounds like a short fat version of the camel toe then. That board was not great either.

Camel Toe was fantastic for what it was meant for (floating in pow first, carving up groomers second) and pointless for pointless for anything else..

I've commented on the Surfer before.

My good friend has a cameltoe that he seems to enjoy riding for everything, but I will never be able to get past TBT and that sort of base design.

In other news, fusion 59 can be had for wholesale now… Can’t really afford to swing a new board at the moment unless I sell something else, but not sure what I have that I’d get rid of.
