The Official Powder Boards Thread
idk where else to put this, so I'm just gonna leave it here: http://snowboarding.transworld.net/gear-guide/2017-tested-and-approved/franco-snowshapes-batwing-2/#FiVJ23O0WvIsVDq3.97
beautiful board, but checking out their website
( http://www.francosnowshapes.com/) they're all made to order(?). from what I found, $1699 is pretty steep (no pun intended) for a pow board. you damn 1%ers sure are lucky.

I'm stoked how many powder/freeride boards are out there these days. I'm not usually one for weird shapes for the sake of looking different, but they are all pretty awesome.
Favorite is always going to be the fish, but my daily ride has become something in the supermodel category... mild taper and decent setback
was thinking of picking up the Lib coho this year, but trying to get a Mullair 61 if anything.
The past two years Ive rode pow boards, almost exclusively, on midwest groomers. Capita Party Shark and Slush Slasher. Not that snowboarding got boring, but new shapes really freshened things up for me. Ive come to really like carving on a bigger tapered board, and the slush slasher is an entirely different beast. It goes without saying I would love the opportunity to use them where they belong.
i haven't been riding nearly as long as a lotta guys here, but i LOVE the current movement focusing on unique/cool shapes. after getting the carveair last year i really enjoy the extra width. picked up a cheetah late last year and put a few days on it. can't wait to get it in something really deep with how massive the nose is. also got a k2 cool bean way late in the year and didn't even ride it. very excited for that one.
the lib coho looks like it could be really fun. and the little jamie lynn one, looks like a skateboard. i've always wanted to try a 420 and now the 20/20 as well. will be on the look out for demo's

those things look so sick, saw a lot of them around at Lost Trail, made near Missoula right? [/quote]
Yep. The co-owners are super chill dudes. I rode it in Haines and it is surprisingly stable at higher speeds, even with it being so short.
