soft nose, stiff tail. floated like a dream, but could still rail on hardpack. feels like you’re floating on side hits and over rollers. does get bucked when riding through chowdery/post powder conditions.

Welp, there’s my “accidental” Nitro quiver that came out of nowhere.

That's a beauty of a line up.  Did you get many days in on the Carbon Paragon?

Thank you, Lonz! Not as many as I wanted 🙂 Did take it up to camp Muir this summer - very light on the up and super solid ride on the down

That's one insanely versatile lineup, ranging from Moss to Furberg to a hardboot setup! Do you feel like you get so use the whole quiver?

@oskar - yeah, that's the idea.

I only wish the rider was up to the level of the quiver. Well, I am - at least for passion level.

The Kilroy 3D is brand new; I was without a true twin for a couple of seasons (gifted my Smokin Superpark to a friend who only rides T6) and was hitting the rails and jumps on the Furberg. Other than this - yup, I ride them all. Some more than others, got the Moss late last season, so only 3 or so days on it.

How well does it climb?  I love the notion of carbon Ventures, and the 171 x 27 Storm looks tempting.   If it had a cambered contact section for climbing, I'd be all in, but the rocker-flat-rocker profile makes me hesitant.

Have you skinned many crusty or hard surfaces yet?  If so, did it hold up pretty well or were you reaching for crampons pretty early?  Thanks.

@alonzo

while I'd say it climbs great in general, irregular crusty hard surfaces were tough. I did have Pomoca teal blue pro climb skins, which are light but not the grippiest. Slid around a bit, didn't break out the crampons but would have if it were a serious situation. My older splits were rocker Furberg and CRC Never Summer so I'm pretty happy with flat for skinning, coming off these.

Carbon camber split: I got the Flight Attendant X. Different from the Venture, but a very nice smooth ride! It may be small for you, though - biggest is 163 and not as pow-oriented as the Storm

Get a Prior. You can get it in carbon, with the length and width you want, and their decks have camber under foot and climb great!

Yeah, that's another good option.   I have a Khyber 170 split now that I love, but I'd like to have something a little lighter and less tapered for spring riding.

I'm already looking ahead to next year's purchases because I know there's no way the missus lets me pick up another split for this season.  If I go the Prior route, I'll probably order either a carbon Spearhead 172 (widened by 1 cm) or a custom carbon MFR with 1.2-1.4 cms taper during next fall's turkey sale.

I am really interested to see what next year's Ampliid Milligram will look like, too, as it should get a redesign (I'd like to see something a little longer than a 168, but I certainly won't hold my breath).  The new Flagship shape will probably get carried over to the Solution line next season, so a carbon solution could be cool too, though, again, Jones doesn't seem to dig longer splits.
