Ridden in pow (50+cm) it does fine. Hence the word "snow" before "board". I feel like it has a bit more float then my BM. On the BF and it floats like crazy

Do you mind to share your weight? Torn in between 56 or 61.

I weight 155lbs size 10-9.5 US depending on boots. Rode this, Bottom Feeder , BM 159, DC HR 155, PH 152, SJ 152 good Japan quiver for 3 weeks 😉

If anything I would buy the bigger size for WW but the 156 is a killer size for me just couldn’t “tear the skin off my nose” style turns on it as the ol toe would dig a bit

Same weight and I ended up ordering a 156, hope it floats well in pow and worth me trying to squeeze my foot into size 8 boots for some layout carving.

You?  https://www.ebay.com/itm/Moss-Snowstick-2016-Wing-Swallow/182751180657

Yep. Trying to sell it after I realized I won't allow to indulge myself riding any board that expensive.

I feel you. Think I first saw your listing in the Fall, but I can't allow myself to indulge in buying anything that expensive haha.

I got it shipped from japan directly, paid like a million on shipping fee, and still have to pay 10% ebay + 3% paypal fee if it sells.

Hope someone can take it off my hands through paypal so that I don't have to pay ebay at least lol.

I've been riding the SD off and on for a month now and blah.

I guess the stars and planets were aligned today but I had freakin blast on this board.  Hard packed groomers in the am and softer snow in the pm.   LOVE IT.

note: size 9 boots and 155 lbs.

Ride this board aggressively and it will reward you.

Any verdict on how it rides in the pow? (156 I assume)

It hasn't seen pow yet.   Yes,  it's the 156.

The profile pics are terrible, sorry about that (hopefully they're attached).

I'm really interested in the Speed Date and I live in New England. I shred Loon and Gunstock mostly. How's the Speed Date as an all around board for around here? Looking for something that can do a little bit of everything and carves like a knife.

THX

It seems pretty universal for a decent rider, so maybe it can be whatever you want, really. There were comments about how it was not a pow board earlier in this thread, seemingly like they were saying it flat out will be bad in pow..  and then I was thinking, for example, no one would make the same comments about the Mullair, yet if you look at specs, they are actually quite similar. Flex, profile, width, taper, setback, and general sizing. Board write-ups can be deceiving, because of how they are trying to market it. Yeah, not an actual pow board, but it sure looks like a great directional all mountain freeride type of design, that will do just fine in powder. Has everyone forgotten the days when we all rode twins for everything? I am positive the speed date would be looked at as a powder board quite frequently back then.

Anyway, I don’t know the next time I will get a modern Burton board, but the speed date 161 is definitely something I would be interested in.

I would definitely consider a Speed Date 161 as an all-arounder if they made a wide one.  I find it strange that they would make a 156 wide but no 161 wide.

I'm so in doubt between the Speed Date, the Stun Gun (my choice on paper) and skeleton.. No possibility to test them... wanna have a board who let me carve on groomers and don't kill rear leg in pow..
