I demo'ed that 2 weeks ago.  Tapered underbite is the real deal.  I didn't ride it off piste/pow so I have no comparisons to LL/Fish/Spring Break in regards to float.  As compared to the LL that I normally ride, this feels way lighter, more damp, and more stable.  Edge to edge feels a tiny bit little slower, but in regards to free ride, this is on my next hit list (or the Slash BS).

Good choice.

Killer setup!!

I would love to put my hands on the 420 in one point, but its hard to justify it with the condition in my area...

Looking forward to hear you thoughts on the new Optimistic, its one of the boards im eyeing for next season 😉

Is it weird that I want last year's or this year's The Greats to hang as wall art instead of ride?

I mean, yeah, I would probably ride it eventually but I like the look of both years so much just seems deserving of being put on display.

Probably end up being my board purchase for the year. Almost snagged a 156 JJ Uninc off Craigslist last year but when I met with the dude it had a minor core shot and some minor delam I didn't feel like putting money into. Was gonna hang it up. Guess this is nearly as good lol

Has anyone ridden the powder hull concave shape yet and can comment on it?  They put it on this years 420 so i would think its probably good but I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

I thought he did a write up, but maybe he and I just messaged about it. I think my take away from what he said about it was that it didn't sink even at slow speeds, just seemed to magically float.
