Looks like an inbound storm cycle towards the end of this week and throughout the weekend. Might be pretty wet locally with the high temps and freezing level. Wish I could run up to Whistler since it should be pretty decent above mid-mtn. Just got back from there today though, and am going again in 2 weeks, so I prob can't pull it off.  😥

I just saw the Powder Poobah email alert. Maybe Chair 2 at Alpental will be good? Definitely keeping an eye on how this develops...

I'm leaving for Jackson Hole this weekend!

@matty: mismatched bindings are cool - if done on accident. Sorry we didn't get to meet you yesterday

Have fun at Jackson - also, I just realized that the email alert went out on April Fools' Day, though the NOAA forecast does look like it confirms it...

The mismatched bindings were kind of unintentional. Basically, I showed up at the hill late, wanted to change my bindings, and only got one changed before the chairs started to spin and my buddies were ready to go. Stuuuuuuuuuu told me to just ride it as-is, so I did. I noticed no difference in responsiveness between an older Union Atlas Team binding and a 2019 union Force Team binding - though I did notice that the newer "hex" style toe straps are wider and more flexible than the older ultragrip toe straps that I retrofitted onto the Atlases a couple of seasons ago.

Picked up the Ikon for next year. I didn't ride as many days at Snoqualmie this year as I did last year, and the Ikon gives me an excuse to check out Squaw and Mammoth next season. Crossing my fingers Bachelor joins the party like they did with the MAX pass.

Also debating riding Steven's this Sunday or driving down to Timberline. Anyone going to be at either?

Gonna do my pass at Snoqualmie again. It's looking like I won't make it to 50 days this season, but the 45-ish I'm on pace for were mostly at SnoQ. I will end up with about a third of my days at other spots, but none of them are Ikon destinations (Whistler, Meadows, Bachelor, Stevens, and Courmayeur).

Got the Epic & Snoqualmie passes this season, but I think I'm going to get Epic Local and Ikon Base for next season. Would be so dope if any combination of mtns like Bachelor, Meadows, Schweitzer, or Big White joined Ikon.

There have been some chatter on Stevens Pass Parks IG about possible changes to park ops next season (hopefully not completely axed). I barely ride through the park these days, but something to consider for those that do and are considering passes for next season.

or if snoqualmie would become unlimited. idk why they aren't. most people who'd buy the pass would go to crystal over snoqualmie anyways.

i'll be at snoqualmie cuase it's cheap, and being in school and working full time, i'll probably only be riding on sundays. this season i was working 4 10's and had friday nights to ride, but new job is 5 8s so friday night shred is off the table now unfortunately.

Looks like Snoqualmie is going to open up Alpental for one last weekend. No Cinco de Mayo this year, but making it to the 28th of April is still pretty good. Laps this past weekend were slushy and fun. The Alpental park setup was pretty cool (though I preferred last year's). Should be a party this weekend if the weather's good again.

@slim: congrats on new job!

Sucks to not have Cinco, always looking forward to it...

Epic local this year and next for me. With 10 days to whistler its a no brainer, ended up using 8, plus 10 buddy passes for next year which equal roughly the pricing for stevens powder pack or whistler pre purchase. Spent a couple days up a summit/alpental but midweek prices online purchased a couple days in advance are pretty reasonable. Would never dream of going there on a weekend

Stevens is often more of a shit show on weekends than Snoqualmie is - unless you ride Central or try to compete with the Chair 2 regulars on a Saturday morning for powder turns. We ride Saturdays at Silver Fir or Hyak most of the season.

Eh, spent my first couple years in Seattle at Summit, and most of the terrain bores me. Spend most of my time there nowadays out the gates or touring Hyak or Pineapple/Kendall
