Time to wax your bindings and snoseal your snurfers. The notoriously unreliable winter weather predictions are in or coming in and it only means one thing... at some point in the near or far future it will probably maybe get cold and snow in areas that get cold and snow.

So far we've had a parade of no storms. Looking at green grass and a high of 45 today for wisco. I'm not overly bummed since I can't ride right now anywhoooo... but it still feels bad man.

There's so much snow here you can't even get to the parking lot until a few days after the storm quits due to lack of money for road maintenance/road havoc and shit drivers with powder panic or unpronouncable last names

we had a very short parade to kick things off, but yeah, we’ve been in the 40’s all week now. still covered, but it’ll need to get a fresh coat soon.

Things have been great up here in Whitehorse.  Our little local, Mount Sima, has more snow than ever for this time of year, and the White Pass has been getting hammered on top of a great base.  We haven't had any large cold snaps yet, so our pack hasn't faceted away, it's not sitting on as much depth hoar as it has in recent seasons, and the base is now insulated by enough snow that it is unlikely to facet away if the temperature drops down to -30c for a couple of weeks.  2019-2020 is shaping up to be the best White Pass season in years.  The Haines Pass is looking good as well.

Man, I know NOAA is a high level scientific agency, but their seasonal outlook pages look like angelfire sites.

Low snow totals and late openings in the North Cascades so far. Fingers crossed that things pick up in January!
