B HAND ALERT B HAND ALERT!!

finish those heelside turns @gd!

Lol I normally do, but I get too far from him to record at a viewable distance. So I have to speed check often for him so I dont get too far in the frame, esp that the conditions were super sketchy. And we were only using our phones to record, so it was extra sketch for him lol. And to add, nursing a tear in my shoulder still, so I've had to dial down my riding to more mellow til it heals.

And LOL @spenser, allow him. Its only his 2nd day this winter, and has significantly dropped off from riding compared to before. Just happy to be on the hill with him, at this point.

Day 1 yesterday, after finally getting cleared to ride after shoulder surgery.  June was reporting 130" in 4 days, 12" overnight, and it snowed all day.  Solid way to start the season.  This is what our spot in Mammoth looked like walking in Friday night.

Wow, that's quite the throwback.  Are you running snowboard liners in them?

Hahah I try man, it's hard for me to avoid though at times.

And loll, again cut my dude some slack. He's fallen off from boarding for past couple winters now. Just glad to be riding with him at this point. And trust me, it bothers him as it does you haha.

Day thirty-something or forty-something. Not sure. Rode Mt Hood Meadows on Saturday. I hadn't been there in years. Good conditions with maybe 4 inches at the bottom and 7 at the top. Heather opened and we got good laps in Heather Canyon in the AM. Mostly stayed on the HRM side in the afternoon, lapping the stuff off of the Shooting Star Express and Hood River Express and finding pow stashes in the trees near those lifts and in the lower section of Heather Canyon. I was on my Moss and my buddy was on a Gentem Big Floater. We swapped boards for the final run of the day. The Gentem was fun, but too narrow for me.

Got another little dump here, about a foot. Had a thickish pow day with the dudes.

The key to getting to that point is getting pummeled for two decades. Eventually, it becomes a standard that you stomp everything. Sam is a true resort ripper.  Also one of the nicest, most generally talented people you could meet. I love that man.

I don’t know if you caught the videos of that front yard rail session a while ago, but that is his property where he is building a house himself. Eventually, that’s where I and a couple other friends are going to live in our tiny homes of various types. Did I mention I love him?

Been a wild season out here so far. Over 5 feet of snow last week alone has made for some crazy conditions. Avalanches have been going historic and covering the highways burying cars, creating new slide paths, killing people - the works. Haven't been on here at all this season. Picked up a Landlord split so i've been splitboarding a decent amount to get away from the resort rat race/help my sanity. Switched over to Copper mountain this year from vail and haven't been disappointed, probably have somewhere around 40-50 days combined in so far.
