If their fits were good, I would consider BD stuff before TNF or Patagonia.

Haha.

Seriously, though, they are a great company.

I sit on the board of directors for my local avalanche association, and they hook us all up with pro deals, plus send us free swag to auction off at fundraisers every year.  The fact that they are supporting an obscure, grassroots, volunteer avalanche association in northern Canada shows that they really care about they backcountry community, which puts them solidly in my good books.

I also really like the gear I have from them.

Always viewed BD and Patagonia as the same thing, but with different perspectives, seeing as they share a common origin.

M experience with this is of course entirely geographical, but the move I see in other parts of the world toward hi end technical outerwear makes sense considering the rising popularity of anything backcountry. Going randonee skiing dressed in crispy new Norrøna gear seem to be the new national sport here in Norway

Isn't that all anybody has done in Norway since forever? #heroesoftelemark
