I feel like we should have a stickied thread, possibly in the bathroom, with a list of websites for all the small brick and mortars out there. I've been on the hunt for something misty before and found it at places that didn't even show up on the first 10 pages of a google search. places like First Stop Board Barn, Gorge Performance, Emage Network, etc. Not only will this help out with gear whoring, but could also help some of these core shops cling to life IN an internet world dominated by places like Evo, the-House, and Backcountry. We've already lost places like SnoCon and Pitcrew. Let's not lose anymore if we can help it, right?

thoughts anybody? @highme?

I'm not trying to let people know about my honey holes.

For real though, post a thread in the Bathroom & I'll sticky it.

Don’t do this. It seems small in here but there’s a lotta eyes on this place. We got the dealz thread..that’s enough. Had my spot blown in there a few times over the years.

There’s fun in the hunt! Gotta earn it

is there a way to make a thread where you can only view it if you have a certain number of posts? I mean, I'm all for keeping things under wraps for only the most serious of gear whores, but at the same time when I was looking for a 154 Charlie the only place that had it was yahoo auctions in Japan. that auction ended at like 3-4am local time, and I may have been a little drunk. I ended up with a Charlie that I paid more for than I'd care to admit, and avoiding DHL shipping rape turned in to a nightmare. I feel like having a database/list of shops might help a lot of peeps, especially in the ol' ISO/WTB state. also, there are a lot of Canadaland shops that don't typically show up on google 'merica searches. @captainlurk I get what you're saying, but I'm also all for shops staying in business in their fight against the large corporations (forgot to mention REI). seems like nowadays being marked as a "commission" shop is the kiss of death...

I was just joking about the honey holes, that sounds like a good idea. If you post a thread I'll sticky it.

what about that "waze" app? doesn't that list that kinda thing? idk how popular it is (or if it even works) in canadaland though. just tell them soorry but you couldn't read the small km on your speedo. #merica

From my experience the last few winters in BC, Waze doesn’t do the speed trap updates in Canadia like it does in the US, or any of the other updates really, it sure as shit will tell you your speed in Kph though so you don’t have to worry about speeding, if you're concerned with it. BUT, all my driving is in Interior BC, so maybe it works when it’s in a large local, like Van City or Calgary.  I must be lucky though, probably in the last 10 years of traveling to BC the only time I’ve ever seen a RCMP car is for a pass closure...

i think doc’s problem had to do with cameras where he knew exactly where they were. he was trying to hide his plates from them, or something like that?
