Share your photos, your favorite photographers, give advice, and like every other hobby, talk gear.

I'm amateur at best. Bought a sony a6000 mostly four travel and occasionally will go out just to shoot. Started the summer with a two week trip to Utah's national parks. Haven't had the time yet to edit but here are a few of my favorites.

That must be a newer version ya? I stopped looking into them after I got mine. I can't say enough good things. For me its the perfect combination of small and easy to transport with the ability to strap on a serious lens if I get to that point in the future.

@Parker what other lenses do you shoot with your sony? Im looking to pick up a versatile zoom before a fishing trip. Trying to pack light and only want to carry one lens (at least while on trail). The 18-105 F4 G looks like a solid option at a reasonable price.

@muskrat the only other lens I have is the 16-50 kit lens which I never use really. I usually only use primes but sigma changed the game with the 18-35mm at 1.8 the next lens I want is the 50-100mm 1.8

I've got the 6000 with a G 18-105, killer everyday lens.  Once I got used to the menu on this beast, it's been fun to push the button.  I want to get the 10-18 or a Rokinon 8mm.  We'll see,

@nosedradamous Thats what I wanted to hear. It'll be that 18-105 or the  FE 24-240. The price on the 18-105 G is way more manageable if I pick up something new at all.

I've got the rokinon 8mm on my fuji x pro thats one of my fav lenses. It will probably be the next lens I get for my sony. Most the photos I posted were shot with 8mm.

That 18-105 is internal focus so the lens stays the same length.  I sometimes wish I could go farther with it, but Ill figure that out down the road.

4th of July

A long exposure from the 4th of July.

Also, you should probably pick up Frequency 14.1 when it comes out...
