I had some rictas back in the day that I liked. Hoping these Spitfires will be good!

This is kook-y but I ran spitfires on my longboard to get back into slides / drifting... much easier / slower speed to break traction than orangatang stimulus yellow I first had (which are supposedly great, we'll see)

Oh yeah forgot! They brought some decent urethane to the market as well, like well above standard in the early 2000s.

Season has been pretty slow. Not a lot of progression... Still fun.

I have been hell on wheels this summer. I think its the summer heat mostly and the surfy turns I'm making. So far, the 60mm 78a Slimeballs have been holding up great on my cruiser board. I just picked up some Spitfire Charger 80hd wheels for my popsicle deck, same shape as the classic 99a spitfire wheels but way softer. These seems to be holding up great, and really changed the feel of the board. I almost pulled the trigger on the Ricta clouds, always good to know an el regular gives thumbs up.

I got Spitfire 80HD Chargers. Meant to get 58 mm wheels, but accidentally ended up with 56s. I have only rolled around on them a little bit, but they seem promising for cruising and carving around the skatepark.

How are these working out Matty?

Good cruiser wheels. Was hoping to get a little use of them for mellow park transition riding, but they were too sticky (which should have been obvious), so I picked up some 99D Spitfire Classics a couple of weeks ago for riding at the skate park. Also, relearning how to skate is hard and reminds me that I kind of sucked at skating when I was younger, too. I've already sprained an ankle and a wrist this Summer, and I haven't been doing anything besides just rolling around and trying to carve turns. I'm gonna end up in the fucking hospital if I try to relearn any fucking "tricks"...

^ yeah, Elektropow puts me to shame, for sure 👍

Back in the day, I was doing some 50/50 and board slides but no nollies / kick-flips. I mostly remember lots of ollies to biggish step downs, probably because I broke several decks doing them

Aww man, it's never about putting anyone to shame, but cheers 🤘

I could never jump down big stuff. Never relaxed enough at higher speeds and air time. I guess I flipped down this 6 stair set 15 years ago, but that was it.

Rad lines! You’ve got solid ledge skills.

I was never into big stuff other than gap ollies.  Biggest I ever skated was probably equivalent to a long 10. I got pretty comfortable skating smaller sets, like 5-6, but not with flip tricks.

Ledges and manual pads have always been some of my favorite things to skate.

Loll damn, did not expect that. Thought it was sped up, even 😅. Crazy control in close quarters 💪🏻.
