@psklt too late to be useful as I see you got the Tourists but yeah, so… Tourists and Ion both use the Life liner so they should pretty much feel the same on your feet.

I've been riding Tourists all season doing backcountry and freeriding and love them. The builtin j-bar ankle cushions have blown out though and I am in discussion with Burton support as to what can be done (same happened to the Ions last year).

Imperials use the Imprint3 liners which are kinda meh, and yes, narrower. There's a Japanese release "Imperial LTD" that uses Life Wide Fit liners though which are very interesting to me for next season. Assuming we have a next season.

p.s.: Burton liners that are labeled "Wide" or "Asian Fit" basically have neoprene on the sides of the toebox, making it more forgiving/expandable. The lasts used between Imprint, Life and Life + seem to be somewhat different though.

I bought a pair of Tourists.  The 12's were way too small for my foot and went w/ 13's.  Definitely surprised about the sizing of them.

I know that a few people on here have tried and liked Ride boots. I have previously tried them on and found that they ran a little short. Gonna try them again. I like the look of the Ride Fuse. Just ordered a pair of last year's version for cheap. Hopefully they fit and I can add them to the boot quiver.

Spent most of last season and half of the previous season with the Fuse. Loved everything about them other than the stiffness. Ended up moving on to the Ion Boa mid season, but if they ever do a Pro version of the Fuse I might go back. Fit was a bit roomier than current Burton. Toe box is wider and heelcup is narrower. Overall footprint is great. Very slightly bigger than Burton, but better than most everything else other than Adidas.

I might be getting a pair of Trident to test next season, so I think that will be a good comparison with the Ion.

I had them and likeD them. Liked them a lot, only reason I don’t still ride them is that they weren’t the best for splitboarding, but resort riding they were tits.

How would the flex on the fuse compare to the slx?

I'd say out of the box they're a bit similar. I think the Ride softened up a bit quicker than I was expecting. However, stiffness is subjective. I tend to like overly stiff boots, so YMMV. Currently the Ion Boas I'm riding now with some boot foam mods are almost perfect. The only issue I have is the wider heel. I have some clearance issues with Union bindings. My Rides are super narrow in the heel, so no issues there.
