Either going Longo Infuse or that Baldface model next winter. Hopefully fits the foot okay & decent stiffness w/ comfort.

The odd thing with the taxwood/baldface is that it only has one row of lace rungs on the front of the tongue.. the infuse has two + bigger power strap.

Because they can't fit the lugs underneath the silly gaiter/shroud thingee...silly because it is pointless on the Taxwood in the first place

really wish the toe box on the Taxwood worked for me, but it’s the same as the old Sequal that I tried for a few days and just couldn’t make work.

anyone have a deal on some 10.5 Hi-Standard Pro’s? next year’s leather colorway is dope, but not sure I can make it that long in my freebie Judges, and just don’t get enough heel hold in the Taro’s w/out an inner lace on the liner. I reached out to K2 to see if they could send me the removable one that comes in the newer version, fingers crossed.

I had a similar issue in the Taro, I used those C-shaped foam stickies on both sides of the liner and it was money

was just wondering randomly while trying not to do any work, are there any boots on the market right now with the fit and comfort of lunarendors? I want to make mine last as long as I can, but maybe I should check ebay or something for a backup if there isn't anything similar

3XD from 32 is probably the closest.

It does seem like that's what the goal was when those were developed for Nico. On my foot, last year's version didn't fit as well as I remembered my Nikes fitting. I have found SLXs to be closest in fit, with a similar flex to the Lunar Endors with the medium stiffeners in the liners.

Reading through the 3XD details it did seem like it was meant to be a play on the lunarendor with so many similar aspects to the design. Was it anything in particular you can recall that kept the fit from feeling the same?

would love it if I could just get another season out of these

On my foot, the heel was a little too wide and I think that the j bars were uncomfortably in the wrong place? I tried them on over a year ago, so I don't totally remember. I do remember thinking that they were significantly lower volume and better fitting than other thirtytwos that I had tried on or the pair of TM-2s that I made the mistake of buying four or five years ago.

have been getting weird foot pains this week - feels like the bottom and top of my forefoot are being clamped in a vise.  I can’t tell if it’s the footbed, the ankle strap, or this hard rubber Vans stripe on the taxwood boot that is applying pressure when I’m strapped in. Anyone ever experience the foot-in-vise pain??

I've got like 10 days on the taxwoods I'm digging them a lot. Foot pain is completely gone I've been riding the resort with them and touring they feel great. They stay tight and heel hold is great awesome grip on snow. Next years black and white look sick but I'll prob stick these out for a couple seasons trying to get out of the habit of having new shit all the time.
