Then my new Airblaster Ninja Suit Pro showed up.

Damn, this thing is tits. After trying it on I'm like 99% sure the Schoeller over your shoulders and on the arms will be perfect for touring, it will be that just needed wind breaker where the bibs aren't covering while skinning up, and hopefully prevent needing to put on another whole top layer when it's really cold/windy out ( that in turn ends up making me too hot ), really I couldn't be more hyped on this, as far as added NEW function, this might be the best piece of clothing I've bought in the last 10 years...

This got me really interested in the Ninja suits.

What's the verdict of Ninja suits? Are they worth upgrading from Burton AK baselayers? Are they fitting true to size chart?

I’ve been running the Merino Ninja suit for years. BEST base layer ever. I’d say they fit true to size. I’m 6ft, 165lbs and the large fits perfect. Only complaint I’ve heard is that Merino doesn’t jive with some peoples skin, but I’ve never had an issue.

I have a Merino suit from the first year they came out. To be honest, I just prefer having a separate top and bottom, but as far as the performance and fit and everything of a ninja suit, they rule. They are as good as everyone has ever said they are, but it is still up to each individual as far as whether or not they actually like a one-piece.

Got a second pair of the polyester Ninja suit, very nice. Never gets moist, breaths, is comfy, just the perfect balance between tight and loose. Doesn't climb up the ass crack when going commando. 5/5.

Intrigued by the merino one, but never found a good enough price. Full merino stuff doesn't usually work perfect for me.

I've got a merino one listed in the classifieds. I love it, but I'm apparently allergic enough to wool that after a weekend wearing it my shoulders start to break out.

My son just got a Ninja Suit Pro from work, fortunately for him, his boss & the next senior shop employee didn't need it.

I can't do merino, but I have couple of the polyester ones. They're rad and they fit true to size. I prefer separate tops and bottoms, though. I don't wear my ninja suits more than a couple of times a season. They're too warm for me and I don't like wearing them when I might have to poop. I don't trust that whole waist zipper situation to give me enough access to do my business without making a mess. I'm not quite George form Seinfeld having to take his shirt off to feel comfortable on the toilet, but I'm not far off...

The best is splitting in one. Sweaty farts go right up the neck and into your mouth, if you so choose. Use of onesie-outerwear helps too.

I was pumped because I bought a heavy-duty capilene hooded Patagonia ninja suit. Turns out to be waaaaay too warm. I have the same kit in separates (without the hoodys) and prefer it 95% of the time. I run pretty warm and it rarely gets THAT cold in the Sierras.

While touring, I prefer a separate top and run a set of merino underwear as I run hot.  When it's utterly freezing and riding resort, always go to my normal ninja suit.  I tried the ninja suit while touring and I was sweating balls.  I find it a great warm layer but lacks in breathability.  Could be a different story if it's merino, but I don't want to pay out of the nose to find out it doesn't work.

Man we got a dumpppp in Park City.  Had fam in town for the holidays at our cabin so only did mornings at the resort.   I had pow fever and wanted to stay out but had to have fam time so I picked this up on an impulse to take back to my place.  Pow surfed down my road all afternoon.  Tons of fun and crazy light.
