I'm looking to replace the ankle and toe straps on a pair of Now bindings with Burton straps. I've done this once before (~2016) with Cartel straps which I think have since been updated. Anyone have a preference or recommendation on which to go for? Cartel / Genesis / Malavita / something else?

Genesis or Union Exoframe for ankles

any of Union’s current offerings for toe straps

Burton hammock with double take is numero uno for anklestraps but Salomon high end new ones are also good. Salomon high end or Union toestraps.

Always asymstraps like vitas on solid boards. Toestrap is whatever aslong as it fits the boot.

I’m a fan of the non-asym hammock straps.. I think all mine are from the genesis.

I assume you probably run cap straps, so yeah, whatever fits the boot. I’m a fan of flat-style with a hole, which the peak of the toe pushes into - never really liked cupped cap straps.

But, I have been running over-the-top toe straps for the last 5 seasons, as it holds your actual toe down better.. I get more feedback and response that way; especially feel it on heelside carves. Still using the aforementioned flat style, they are unions from 2014 factories, when the straps weren’t huge. I’ve noticed this making a comeback, certain riders with lots of coverage can be seen doing it like Red Gerard for example, and I think a lot of our favorite icons have been doing it the whole time

Got some OTT straps on splits, and running soft regular ankle straps like sieva, magneto and genesis, swap around when something annoys me.

I tried over the top many years ago as a joke when I didn’t understand it, and didn’t feel it. But, I remember my first run in 2016 when I tried it again and absolutely loved it instantly. It was one of those simple things like forward lean and forward angles that clicked hard with my preferences.

My favorite non-mesh style strap is probably still the old wide ones from flux (2011). I rocked those for many years before finally trying hammocks.

toestrap from unions from 2014 factories has been go to until late this winter when they died.

for ankle i have been liking nitro teams and ivy ankle strap.

ended on nitro toestrap and they are fine. the quick adjust thing is crap and got looselike 15 times on deep toeside carves.

I don't like the vibram nitro ones, but the og toe strap is solid. What do you mean by the quick adjustment thing? Micro drive? That system sucks balls and was pulled back after one season.

I love the K2 perfect fit 2.0 toe straps and the sender ankle straps. Second place would be the B gettagrip straps

Ah gotcha. I've only had the ankle one pop up a few times. It's a bit annoying. Wouldn't mind a more secure solution.
