Fuck adidas!

well, its not surprising that a company specializing in athletic footwear makes good athletic footwear.  at the same time, its not surprising that a giant multi-national doesn't focus on marketing to and servicing a small vertical.  so from my perspective its fuck trade-offs.

But their boots fit me better than literally anything I've ever owned, so I'll keep giving them my money until a proper snow company steps it up.

Pretty much! I was worried this was their last season and bought like 3 pairs of ADV Tacticals lol. My friend did that when Nike announced they were quitting (wish I did, loved the Vapens)

Not sure how I feel about them shutting the team down, I don't really make purchasing decisions on who they sponsor anymore, etc. On one hand, it's great to know companies are trying to help people make a living off this, on the other hand, I just want a quality product at the end and if that means less money goes into marketing but more into R&D, I'll take that.

My new Tactical Lexicon, to replace my old Tactical's arrived today. Almost snagged another pair out of fear Adidas was done, so glad to see they have at least one more year in them.

I try to stick with tried and true snowboard brands that support the sport, the riders, the ecosystem, etc but when it comes to boots, you gotta go with what works. The Tacticals are the best boot I have had since a pair of SLX from probably 12-15 years ago.

DUE TO VERY LIMITED PRODUCTION, THESE BOARDS DO NOT COME WITH A WARRANTEE. Buy at your own risk. No returns!

Weak!

Also here to say the Tacticals are the most comfortable and best fitting boots I've ever had. Never had boots eliminate toe lift like these. That said, I was able to buy them relatively early in the season (December) at a 40% discount on the adidas website, thats great for my feet and my wallet, but not for the rest of the industry.

Some news on 21/22 Korua (other brands are also up):

https://www.boardsportsource.com/2021/02/17/korua-21-22-snowboards-preview/

TLDR:

Tranny will be renamed Transitionfinder, less taper & setback

New in Classic line Pin Tonic 164 & 172

New in Plus line Dart 156 & 164

Pocket Rocket slightly updated & with metal edges to carve on groomers

And then there is this: New concept board named Noserider, "a board with nearly infinite stance options all the way in to the nose area. This shape is designed for open-minded riders who are keen on experimenting with an array of stance options to achieve different and unique riding experiences both on piste and in powder."

sorta interesting on the setback.  there's been talk of how similar in design the tranny (transition) finder and xy are here already and this year gentem reduced setback on that board too.

Noserider is probably something like the moss wingpin 175, but wider I guess.
