Make airblaster squid again... Haha but seriously.

I have 4 pairs of old squid sasquatch bibs I love those things. Only one pair has started to blow the crotch. Every krill and beast bib I've ever owned has blown the crotch after 1 season. I love the fit and style of AB. I wish a company would make shit that looks rad like AB with the tech. I heard the new AB Sasquatch bibs were hella tech. But i haven't seen or heard a review. But the quality feeling of squid vs beast the squid are built so much better and we're only made in limited quantities so maybe that had something to do with it. I'd try another brand but the fit and style of AB just wins it for me. Anything tech just always looks tech I don't want to look tech. My fav AB jackets are the grumpy, ab/bc and yeti stretch only 15k but man I love them and wear them in all conditions. Would love to see something. Also wrist gaiters are game changer for me as well I can't have a jacket without them.

I keep it real-Canadian tuxedo (tucked into my boots) with old school cotton based waffle long underwear for life! Don’t trust that high tech outerwear, that’s just the government trying to read my mind.

It would be cool to see more creative and attractively priced 3L construction. 20k is fine. I like the lightweight, but Im not climbing everest and I dont need an $800 jacket with no pockets…

TREW looks pretty promising. Generally well priced and often available 50% off on prior season. Their outlet is final sale though and they don’t have a retail presence, so I’ve never made a purchase. Heard good things, but I’m always a bit skeptical until I test things for myself.

Yeah I don’t like the fit of the Trew stuff at all and I have tried quite a bit.  Like Parker I really like the fit of AB stuff.  Their bibs are by far my favorite. Just picked up a used Volcom guide jacket and can say it is probably the nicest piece I have personally owned, might look at getting a new one next year.  I’ve always had more mid tier stuff and haven’t sprung for anything gore-Tex previously.  But with a bit of weight gain that should be temporary, got the guide jacket and some new 2 layer burton ballast pants to try out this year for some good deals.

Fawk. On the topic of Arc’teryx build quality and me destroying outerwear… found some bubbling delams on the front torso of my Arc Rush jacket. Don’t see any abrasion damage, although that seems like most likely culprit. I have MAX 30 days on these.

@spenser like I said, the world isn’t built for me.

I’ll probably toss Goretex patches on these and ride out the remainder of the season, send it back and hope Arc can fix. I really like this color way and would prefer repair to replacement.

my Elastic Boss pants are the first pants I haven’t blown out the crotch (thankfully just the liner on most pieces) after a season of use. looking forward to trying out some of the Sasquatch gear.

also been running my Gore Dunmore jacket from B a lot this season. probably my oldest piece of gear at this point and holding up really well. had to replace one cuff button two summers back, but that was most likely a tow rope victim.
