“Quiver of Two” 2020
It’s now 2020, and you’re going on a board’n holiday somewhere cool for two weeks... there will be pow days, groomer & side-hit days, and the usual mixed-bag of resort conditions. Park is there if you want it. It’s a good trip, don’t worry.
So, which two-board quiver do you choose?
Bonus points if you can pick only one
Right now it would be
Endeavor Archetype ( handle anything )
Niche Theme ( groomers, sidehits, fun daily )
a couple years ago it could had been con artist, ...zoid ,..uninc...
Free Thinker/Deep Thinker
Kilroy Directional/Kilroy Pow (2020)
Too hard... Probably a 159 or 162 PYL, a versatile playful enough freeride stick that holds and charges, and a Niche Aether 156 or a cambered mid flexing twin... If it was a new area for me, I wouldn't really venture into the park except maybe for a few jump laps. I'd rather get lost finding sweet natural spots, hike something that looks good and so on and the board would need to handle all kinds of pow, from trees to steeps.
Maybe I'm thinking about this too sensibly. Feels tell me to grab my 1st year Kazu for everything besides low viz pow days and for those a super directional pow stick like the Mind Expander, though that one could snap and pop a bit more.
One board, I’d go squash 59 or 63, because I gotta have it.. and currently, #2 would be the hammerhead 71. Before I had it, I probably would have said fish 160 or blunt diamond 56
