The new brand that Austin Smith has been working on with skier Eric Pollard. We knew he was doing something with evo and this is the first official thing I've actually seen. 3 shapes in the line

saw their email this morning.  Shapes are like he cherrypicked the Quiver series and United Shapes.  So is he no longer with Nitro?

He announced leaving Nitro a few months ago.

Shapes look cool. Agree with the United Shapes and Quiver Series reference, and I'll add some Korua into the mix. Price points are good, just wish they had some bigger sizes and I might buy one. Maybe next season?

Def see the United Shapes & Quiver series influence. Like the simplicity of the whole brand/approach, tho. They even provide camber spec, too 🤓.

The Evo service partnership thing (free tunes every year for life of the product, 30% tuning services) is the first I've heard of something like that. Doesn't anything explicitly, but I'm guessing they're direct to consumer and Evo only?

+1 to US / Quiver influence. The Nexus looks like a Cadet.

I really like how they visualize shape + profile on their site. Too few companies give profile information and you have to lay things on a table in person to get a real sense of it.

I like the all black look... makes repairs easier and I feel less bad about smacking rocks and stumps, ha.

Wish they had bigger sizes. Probably not for me until they go 160+, but promising start.

Hah... I'm liking how this is becoming the litmus test of boutique brand acceptance. As it should be.

They legit make great boards, 4/5s of my quiver is built at GP87 (United Shapes Cadet 62 and Orbit 57, Weston Backwoods Split 63, Moss Swallow 162; odd man out is my Dupraz D1+ 6'). I've especially put the Cadet through some shit and it's held up fantastic. I don't know if every GP87 brand is good, but I take a brand hiring that factory as a good sign.

GP87 makes Gentemstick, Weston too.

Looking at the closeups, the construction has that Spring Break vibe. With the Carbon Neutral claim, I'd guess Mothership.

Look pretty sweet really.

Oh wow they only ship to US & Canada. Scratch Mothership (though still possible…).

Which North American factories are claiming Carbon Neutral manufacturing? Mervin? Austin's been spending a lot of time in PNW I guess…

Of all the boards I’ve owned, I’d have to say the ones that seem “best” all around have come from GP87, Playmaker, and wherever K2 is/was made (was that Shakespeare?) So go figure, despite what a lot of people love to say, all China. Honorable mention to the factory in Quebec that Fullbag uses.

Season looks and sounds cool and I definitely like Austin, but you know what I’m gonna say about sidecut numbers 😜

With the look and details of their boards, I can’t see it being Mervin. Nothing against their factory, it just doesn’t “look” like them
