I was hoping this Euro interview with the skier half would spill the beans but it don't

That Aero shape has strong Rome Blur vibes for me.

Oh wow they only ship to US & Canada. Scratch Mothership (though still possible…).

Which North American factories are claiming Carbon Neutral manufacturing? Mervin? Austin's been spending a lot of time in PNW I guess…

Only shipping to US & Canada is likely more about the warehousing/distribution network that they have access to and the exclusive retail partnership with evo (only has locations in US and Canada) than it does with where the manufacturing happens. I have been told that they are being pressed at SWS in the UAE, alongside YES, Jones, and Arbor.

@matty Yup that does seem to be the case exactly AND their "evo for Europe" hookup is Blue Tomato apparently.

Just looks like they may have been later/last in the manufacturing queue because that shit ain't showed up on BT's website yet (and Jones, Arbor, etc did a few weeks back 😉

it's been deleted (along with all of his old posts aside from three recent ones?) but it was screenshots of "kids" doing a george floyd challenge (reenacting the kneeling).  his post went along the lines of blah blah i used to be a POS kid and does anyone know these POS kids, would love to take them on the hill and discuss their actions blah blah.  it was a weird take

Calling out assholes who participated in that George Floyd “challenge” sounds like the correct take to me, but I didn’t see the specific post

his overall stance seems to be that he wants to engage with those who disagree with him rather than shut them out, which I think is a fine choice, but it definitely comes from having a position of privilege. he seems to acknowledge that pretty openly, too, though.

That’s not what I was referencing as a bad take, engaging shitty people with privilege/hate and taking them fucking snowboarding of all things to have a discussion.. I think with his resources, there are probably better alternatives to educate those with a hateful mindset.

I guess I didn’t quite know what you were referencing, but I didn’t think you were disagreeing with calling out those kids. My “takeaway” was the sentiment Cole mentioned; the idea of actual snowboarding hit me more figuratively I guess. They certainly shouldn’t get hooked with what is otherwise a prize in most situations (day with a pro kind of thing) for a conversation about how they pulled a disgusting act like that, hah.

Totally - and I know we are all on the same page here, maybe I am just too salty for my own good.. I understand it was in good intention from Austin.
