I’ve never had an instance where my outerwear failed to keep moisture out. I was worried when I moved up to the PNW, but my 15k Volcom kit is holding up just fine, and imagine it would continue to do so as it starts to warm up. I’m a lot more focused on breathability these days, though I assume breathability is compromised somewhat if face fabric starts to absorb moisture? Homeschool puffy and Ride 37.5 base shirt FTMFW. Not sure if all puffies are this good, but I’m never letting go of the Homeschool puffy.
for me it has more to do with the outermost fabric. I've had great 10K stuff, and shit 10K stuff. 15 is almost always fine, but the difference seems to be how well the outermost layer keeps its DWR or its ability to take a replenishing without become a plastic bag.

waterproofing "fails" when you wet out due to capillary action, and breathability goes way down. plus it becomes a virtually heat sink making you colder.

BIG BUMP

Bummed AB isn't making the head sock anymore, found it funkier than the terryclava and the neck fit really worked for me. Anyone making something similar?

Long Travis Parker interview. I’m always most interested in hearing him talk about his mental health these days. One of the greatest of all time.

Trench showed up from Canada. Really stoked on this jacket. Great fit & true to size by today’s standards (I’d call it normal relaxed), feels like a more durable material but almost soft & moves well, easy entry compared to some anoraks out there, and really like the bone/goat color. Also have a pair of elastic boss pants on the way in olive/moose… they got stuck in my head, so at least going to try them out.

I would loooove this same jacket in a beast version.

I know they are pretty different, but as much as I liked the thought of the Holden fishtail, it was such a huge miss for me.

Sick.  How long has it been since you've run AB outerwear?

Last piece I personally had was the first Parker jacket in 2011. Production one sucked, but the sample they replaced it with was legit. Had friends with a piece or two over the years, but so much of it was trash that year (20k pieces being sponges right off the bat) that I kinda wrote it off, despite loving AB the way I do

Just arrived

1. most comfortable pants ever

2. fit is perfect. If you’re on the fence between two sizes, I’d probably go larger

3. slits wide open, elastic bottom is cool and doesn’t look weird

4. every pant needs this waistband setup

5. most comfortable pants ever
