fish-tard for life.  currently still have my 09 LTD 56. I'd love a blackscale 56, but am not going to make a point of trying.  it'll come to me if it wants to.

took it to Bend/Bachelor this February along with the Lib wittlake greenest.  should have just stayed on the fish the whole time.

and this was the week before I left, here at home - Photo by Jeremy, who will probably join again soon.  Frequency posted this, which I was pretty stoked on.

How do you guys compare the regular fish to the fishcuit?

I only rode the 2014 fishcuit with the pad.. one good groomer day, one good pow day.  the board its self was a little thinner (filet-o-flex), and I could pick up on that, but at the end of the day it was a slight difference that I stopped noticing after not long.

I'm not a big guy at 145-150 pounds, so it's a board I can easily fit on.. it floated extremely well, as one would expect, and was even easier to quickly maneuver, without much effort, than the regular fish.  overall it was just a fish, but I noticed finding the balance point was something new.  it's just that much less length, I guess, and I found it easier to loop out on the tail... that kind of thing.  made some adjustments and got used to it.  I would take a regular fish 56 any day, but it was a really fun one.  it was probably the closest thing to a skateboard I've ever ridden on snow... that's not to say it feels like an actual skateboard, but as far as size, ease of maneuverability/changing direction, and the way you ollie on a fish in general (quick snap at the back foot like a skateboard, VS loading the tail to spring up).  had a really fun time on groomers with it, but that was no surprise.  the fish is one of my favorite shapes on groomers.

I'm tired of it, but I'll post this again... hah

Thanks for the response.  I'm leaning towards the fishcuit because i could get a black scales one but its 400 which is kinda pricy or a gold 156 for 280.  I figure the fishcuit would probably be better in the trees. Which one is more fun to fuck around on when you're drunk on spring days as more of a novelty board?

I ride the fuck out of my FT one. light pow, trees, groomers, park... drunk or sober, idgaf. it's a seriously fun board. buy the fishcuit now and get a fish later cause they're a little easier to find.

Gots Fishcuit's 148 and 150.   Still in search of NOS black scales 156.

The Mod-Fish is really a fun board as well.  Super fun in pow and holds it own on groomers.  Had a blast on it last year.

Set up my new now selects on the shark fish... It's against my philosophy to baby any board, but I'm going to have a hard time if I gouge this thing up right away.

IIRC the recommendation on the old fish threads was to set up forward of the recommended stance?

I think spenser and most other dudes here run it an inch forward from the reference point.  On my Fish, Cheetah, and Con Artist I run the back binding as far up the rear channel as possible.  Always rips, always floats!!
