Oh man, I want a Crane now. Hope that pivot point stays well within the camber zone, like how they intended the C3 to be at mervin.

are you referring to their “half camber” marketing? The explanation under the diagram is that it is just 60% cambered or camber starting under the feet with rocket tip and tail as Bjorn explained.  I don’t see anywhere where it says that has anything to do with camber to flat or anything other than true camber.

if you are referring to “perfect pivot” I think that is referring to the combo of camber, contact points, Side cut that give the board its turning personality?

Ah, must've been my eyes and own interpretation. Does look like there's a small rocker bit in the middle from the pic though.

Capture

Usually the term "pivoting" is in reference to full rocker or hybrid rocker boards, C2/gullwing etc. and how they act in pow especially. Makes sense as a term, to me.

"Our patent-pending HALFcamber65 design (with camber underfoot on 65% of the deck), along with a perfectly matched pivot point near the center of the board"

On the other hand, think my interpretation might've been correct.

hmm ya I didn’t see that part, after reading further in the tech section I think you are right. https://www.cardiffsnow.com/pages/tech

Kind of turns me off to the boards a bit.  I never liked any dip in the middle.  I could live with true c3.

I've ridden a few c3's that claimed there was one but were pretty flat, was ok with them. To be honest I can't say I've ever ridden one with a significant dip that was still inside the overall camber bend. My current daily, the niche aether has such drastic camber bends underfoot that it feels almost like camber when weighed. Personally wouldn't be put off by it if it were still pretty much camber otherwise.

Slid into the video where they talk about the Kilroy series. Glad to know Kilroy pow is pretty much the Stun Gun.

And the rest of the Family  Tree lineup.  HTH sizing going all the way down to "the 140s" for 2021.

yeah, I think most of the Family Tree goes “unisex” next year, so sizes from 146-160 for a handful of boards.

I'd like to see this channelled base shit be put to defeating crazy slow slush conditions rather than this fantasy that powder behaves anything like water.

Under certain conditions many stuff consisting of particles behave like fluids (see fluidized beds etc). No idea how good it will work in practice though (for pow). As for slush a coarse base structure and wax will probably work better.
