Just the fact alone that I'm 50lbs on you and a couple inches taller tells me that I should still probably be an XL BUT in last years hover, this years swash and Cyclic I went with L. Burtons non AK line also fits quite a bit bigger correct?

No it all fits pretty similar. I have a 3L frostner jacket and its about the same as the 3l ak stuff. I know XXL midfit  (which is what everything is now, its called "regular") fits a bit smaller than ak xxl.

AG is the smallest now its being pitched as unisex.

Not sure if this helps at all, but tried on this year's orange Cyclic in M, and it fit perfect for my preference. Not too baggy, nor too tight to limit movement. That color really surprised me, looks dope in person. May invest in the Cyclic soon, love the fit.

Whereas I was considering the Radial jacket in Almond, and got to try it right after the Cyclic at Rhythm boardshop here in Niseko. It was a much baggier fit, with that "tail" design at the back, which I'm personally not a fan of.

Fwiw (5'7/160lbs)

the cyclic stuff is a bit slimmer than the other ak stuff.

swash jacket/pants are the loosest.

Yeah I like the Cyclic fit as well.

My Cyclic jacket is M and fits pretty perfect. Not very baggy but not weird tight, ~175 Lbs 5'11". I might grab an extra jacket or pants sometime soon.

@drjcv

A stretch hover in blue popped up in XL today so I grabbed that. Fate made the decision for me.

Currently their site stock is not up to date because of the holiday season. It’s still showing large is in stock but it’s not, I had tried to order the blue kit last week and got the dreaded out of stock email after purchasing.

X-Base

I also remember there was a video or pic where he was using some weird/proto straps.

IIRC the X-base high back are more roundish. These feels like some Now or Jones high backs.

Those are standard X-base highbacks. Same highbacks as were on the Diode.

Lol yep, he replied on IG saying he prefers the lightness of the X-Base and isn't a fan of the hammock hi-backs cos "it freaks him out", as the gear nerd in me was curious about his set up.

Guess you guys are right. The forward lean dial does look like the old Diode. My eyes must be tricked by the black anti scuff cuffs that he folded over, making the highback looks more angular than it actually is.

I don’t think he even uses a forward lean “adjuster”... I remember seeing something he posted a while back that looked a bit like a smaller Bent Metal-type of block that he fashioned for himself. Must be there to prevent slippage at the highback mounts. I rode carbon-backed Diodes for years, and whenever I would go F2+ on the forward lean, the teeth on the mount washers would wear down and be prone to slipping after a while.
