Hello good people of ez! Can anyone give me feedback on SK and HH? I am kind of undecided between these two, although I have not ridden a SK yet. I have riden a HH 156 for two full days last year and kind a like it. However, I think I'd like a SK too ( 154 size ), but I have a limited budget this year, so I cannot go on and splurge on both, although I'd love to :D. So what are the main differences to both besides flex, since they look pretty similar on paper? I have herd that SK lacks pop, which is my main concern.

Hometown will be just a tad more versatile, gives you more tail to pop off of & ride switch, if that’s your thing.

Looks like an SK maybe.

Maybe a graphic based on this?

Do you find size 155 short or is it worth down sizing?

I am eyeing on get it for both park and occasionally pow riding. Most of my park boards are 154cm, so I was torn between 150 and 155, worrying 150 be a bit too short.

It feels like a “regular” deck to me, downsizing not needed. If I was a 130lb park rat, I could see riding the 150.  If you’re on 154s for park as it is, I think the 155 will fit the gap as a park/mtn/pow do it all deck.  The flex feels borrowed from the 54w custom I had, maybe a bit easier to load up the nose and tail though.

Sounds sweet, cannot wait to see it show up at my front door.

@lalune i don't remember if i said it or not, but i didn't like the board with softer bindings. had stratas on it the first day and the board felt pretty beefy/stiff, once i rode it with atlas and force, it was 10x better IMO

I mostly run leather Malavitas, which to me is a tad more responsive because of the leather strap. Hopefully they will fit the board flex.

some b news here:

https://www.cisurfboards.com/2020/britt-merrick-ci-employees-and-teamriders-take-ownership-of-company/

as i remember, the original story was that ci wouldn't have survived without the buyout from b.

the employee/rider owned thing seems like a pretty big deal.

Couldn't resist, esp with the wife's frontline workers incentive with B ☺. Switching the ankle straps to my GenX ones, though. Not a fan of the Cartel ones, the least comf in their line imo.

Any idea what Channel Islands reputation in the surf scene is?

Became a quarantine kook. Don’t really have much of a sense of the lay of the land beyond my shorty inflatable Costco Body Glove board haha.
