Snow country has the new Transition Finder for preorder, they list the specs with the reduced taper.

Well, guess I'll be grabbing next year's TF54. On paper the new one fits my preferences better but either the current one or next year's will fill my directional daily spot quite nicely by the looks of it.

Dang, that's a nice little update to the sidecut. Very similar ww & scr to my current 59 Pencil, a little tempting ngl. The one aspect I would've changed to the (now former) 54 TF, so that's pretty sweet and a scr I really enjoy (8-8.2m).

Got a few decent powder laps on the Escalator over the weekend. The weight difference is really impressive on the uphill. ~1.5lbs lighter than average and immediately noticeable. The ride reminded me a lot of the Tranny Finder only stiffer, but not overly stiff to where someone like me can't handle it which was great. Seriously fast, nimble, and controllable. Hell of a snowboard. I'm personally very thrilled at how much it feels like the TF because I've wanted the split, but closer to the specs of the 54. Can't wait to get more time on it.

Starting to really like that board… may have to be the next split, when the day comes.

Saw my first Korua in the wild yesterday, probably first one in Juneau. Dude had a dart, and the stance was set back all the way… almost looked like the rear binding went over the notch in the tail, hah

I didn't wax it like they recommend so I could see how it did on it's own first. Zero snow buildup for the first lap up and down, then on the second lap things started to get colder, snowing, and breaking trail in about a foot of pow so there was a bit of buildup. Nothing crazy though.

the 162 has 17mm of taper instead of 24mm on the 157, but the sidecut jumps from 8.2 to 9.6 so that's something to consider. Waist remains the same at 259

Well I sold my TF 57 last summer because I though it had too much overlap and I really loved the TF54 as my daily driver at resorts.

I have a Stealth 63, which I'm quite fond of as well... EXCEPT for the tail... In deep pow if you're in a situation where riding switch for even a short distance is required... Well, the results are less than desirable. Don't get me wrong I love the deck, but there are times when switch riding is called for.

So I said fuck it, and went and bought another TF57 today.

Yeah, definitely more functional on the TF.

I think now that I’m so used to a wider waist, I might have to pick up a korua for next year if it comes up. Still leaning pencil.

Anyone know general underfoot widths on these boards? Namely TF57/pencil64, and more curious about the rear foot due to taper

So on this years TF 57 deck, with 31mm of taper, it’s 27.6cm under my rear foot. With my SZ 10 DC boots, I never come close to booting out.

Next years model will be even wider under the rear foot as they cut back on the taper next year.

Personally I like the taper and that’s why I went and got one now.

My Prior Khyber has 27mm of taper and it’s the second best pow deck I’ve ever had.

Not sure what you’d be looking for, but if you prefer the larger amount of taper I’d try to scoop one up now. Korua still has some and Milo has some in stock as well and they will price match Koruas price.

Pretty stoked I scooped a current TF54. I like the extra width.
