Normally I’d not be into something like this, but actually think the noserider looks like a super fun little powder surfing tray of a snow-skateboard. Something that forces you to slow down a bit and get a little silly, enjoy it for what it is. The obelix didn’t really strike me this way, even though they have some similarities.

I kinda want one

The vid/song choice was dope.

Crazy how narrow his stance has gotten nowadays. I'm at ~20.5-20.75 inches for mine, which is on the narrower side already. But can't imagine riding any narrower, changes the feel so much for me. Makes it feel too restricted. Then again, he has mentioned somewhere that he's been trying diff stances, angles etc. For diff feels while riding, along those lines iirc 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Im sure he’s just experimenting on the NR, like you mentioned. I think it looks fun!

I find going narrower less restrictive (within reason), but start to lose the stability I like. I’m at 21.75 so already mild/medium, but have ridden down to 20.5 on our bunny hill on a smaller board, which was fun.

Number of years ago, I tried 14” on my first board in our sloped yard. It was fun for what it was, hah

I think he did mention he's been preferring much narrower stances in general these days. Spice things up, avoid getting too bored of the same old thing, perhaps.

And yeah ^^, that's more accurate to what I was trying to convey. Feels less stable for me if I go the narrowest on the inserts. But my stance does vary a touch sometimes, depending on size of the board.

My man, either you know how to work the system or how to work all these boards into your budget 😜

Calling pre-dibs on either the pocket rocket or nose rider

Korua kinda is dodging my question but cool they only shipped 10. In other words it's gonna be a long time before I let this one go haha.

Old TF54 on the left, new on the right. Inserts farther back on the new one than I expected, and despite the 55cm ref stance listed on the sticker it seems to measure 56cm. Setting it up for tomorrow, which is stupid based on how many rocks I’m likely to smash but I have to see how it rides and we’ve had a bit of snow lately so early season (first day actually…) legs would struggle riding one of my beater twins if there’s any fresh to be found. Stoked!

Old TF54 on the left

I’m so enamored with the OG I bought a second one to sit on the shelf for when the one I have dies.

I’m sure at some point I’ll have to go new shape, but not yet, for myself, it is the best overall daily driver I’ve ever had.

@pow_hnd without having ridden the new one I feel like I want a hybrid of old and new 😂. I only had a couple of days last spring on the “old” version but also quite liked it. Saw the slightly increased sidecut radius rumour and decided to try the new one as soon as it came out. Tomorrow we’ll see how it feels.

@peruna I know from enough years, that I like the tighter sidecut and more taper for my resorts terrain. @kimchi can tell you I like to get into the tight trees to milk every last bit of pow out of the resort. I generally only ride the lifts when it snows 6” or more ( spoiled Utahn ) so the 3 or 4 groomer days I do a year I ride the Otto.

Other than that I’m splitboarding on my TF57 split

Speaking of the Otto, this was actually a pretty good review vid from Mark Fawcett/Tribute Boardshop. He rips. Creds to SBF Korua thread for this find, ngl.
