Coincidentally just had a comment exchange on one of my orbit videos on YouTube. Dude from Tahoe rides a cadet and was asking about the orbit, he brought up both decks being gone from 2022 line (..🤔?), but said he heard a hybrid of the two might be coming for 2023? Who knows, but that could be cool. I still want an orbit where they simply swap in cadet tips and nothing else.

If my Orbit dies or decide to sell it, Tur Buteo 157/162 is next.

Have demoed both and 157 feels like a nimbler and bit softer Orbit 157 but the 162 is a full on freight train and rides more like a 166ish board. Both holds fat man at decent speeds very well.

Got the same wow feel as wen riding Fullbag Supernaut.

Even if I can ride for shit and no one here will take my words serious but highly recommend Tur boards, Very talented people behind the brand and board shapes. Think they are made at GP87.

Have you had a chance to ride Jones Hoovercraft? Judging by the specs they should be a very similar ride actually.

Did 1 or 2 runs on a demo day 3 years ago on the 156 Hovi, cant really remember but probably a decent board. Tur Buteo 157 was instant greatness.

Hey @Spenser! I'm that rando who commented on your youtube videos riding the Orbit 157 :D! Nice to meet y'all on here. I'm new to EZ but been a long time lurker/poster on SBF. Over the past year or 2 I've become addicted to US boards so it's just my luck I found this thread here.

As for the 2022 lineup, here's the website where you can download japanese flyer: https://golgoda.com/snowboard/staffblog/%E2%98%862021-2022-snowboard-web-catalog%E2%98%86/

I confirmed this lineup with some folks very close to US - not that I know them; i've just casually asked q's over DM's and they've been hit or miss with answering.

Paraphrasing my conversation with my source:

  • Cadet is not present for 2022 season
  • Orbit not present for 2022 season
  • A new shape is in the works that combines some of the Orbit and Cadet features together

I came across the Tur earlier this summer and its specs looks really good but I know nothing about them - stoked to hear y'all love it given your experience with the Orbit etc.

Rode an old Charlie for a rock board the last few years, but gave it to my brother & love having the cadet 62 now. Although I still prefer a stiffer board with larger sidecut (orbit), I could see getting a new 62 to ride during the season at times. Such a good shape.

I find myself more excited to see how the 57 Super8 will ride, even more so than the new 54 T.Finder. Esp as my riding is leading more towards slowing down, with more focus on the finesse side of things. But still need something poppy, cos love hitting as many things otw down. Have a feeling the Super 8 will be better than I expect it to be 🤞🏻.

Sidenote, my 57 Orbit may not see many days in the rotation, depending on how the new additions go. Thinking about offering it up here, but still undecided lol. Has a bit of character on it now. But yeah, we'll see.

@gd From my admittedly sketchy memory, the Super8 154 had a bit less power/energy underfoot than I find the TF54 has. I liked the sidecut though, it was super smooth feeling. Wished it was slightly bigger than the 7.7m on the 154 though.

My brother rides a 157 Super8 and absolutely loves it, it's his daily.

Loll neverrr.

I play footy (soccer) throughout the winter/all year round, also. Hoping that delays that fate for as long as possible 😅.

And nice @peruna, looking forward to it.
