I finally got out for the first time in almost 3 yrs to a legit mountain today and rode my orca 156 that I bought before the plague hit

Without a dissertation the board is actually and absolutely what everyone says it is. Damp, carves trenches etc. you’ve heard the hype stories and I can assure my el brothers they’re all true.  If we’re nitpicking it’s not that fast. I fucking love it

25 - Fun pow day on the Orbit. Light snow, probably about a foot, but more in the wind loaded areas. Funny how compact it really feels after spending so much time on my longboards, but still has the stability of its full body, considering the advertised length. That lengthwise and torsional stiffness, plus the width, camber, and little early rise make for such a stable and maneuverable ride in pow that also has so much bite on groomers/etc. Honestly I’m just glad I still love it even though I’m into long stuff these days.

Things are crazy here. This was the first part of up to a 3ft storm, but warming up and turning to a mix with rain. We have so much snow at sea level, today’s headline in the paper was literally “Warming weather and snow may deliver widespread misery.” City is urging people to clear their storm drains and suggesting clearing your roof, there are flood warnings, and so on. Temps are pushing it up at Eaglecrest, but we should be fine, just going to have a heavyweight week which has been pretty rare the season. I just finished clearing my dad’s roof of 4 feet of snow (again, sea level) and I think I’m dead.

Short edit my bro made from our session this week at our local hill. Along with our younger bro-in-law who's starting to rip now, cool to see for someone 17 still.

I'm on my 59 Pencil, my bro on his 52 Dart & our BIL on the og 54 TF.
