how’re those economic forecasts y’all were crying about before starting to look with these uprisings happening nationwide?

Stonks going up on expectations of higher earnings due to store closures. Or sales of riot gear and bic lighters. Or Revelations type doomsday that wipe us off the planet. It's all priced in.

I read it four times, still can’t tell what point he’s trying to make.  That being said, the Dow finished strong today considering...almost 25,500.

Is the Dow anything more than a gauge of how well rich peoples money is doing? The Dow is only 30 very expensive stocks. S&P 500 to me is a better temperature check. And only about 50% of Americans have any cash in the stock market.

^^^ Correct.

the DJIA indicates more then 85% of America’s equity.  It is the perfect Indicator to use as an example.

that being said, the S&P is rebounding nicely as well...considering.

Completely and utterly wrong. Not even close. Do people ever stop and think before posting such nonsense???

Here we go...

back up what you say.  The data is all there For all to see, lets see your response.

Every time you type words on here you make yourself look dumber and dumber, and like an ill-informed typical Trump supporter...

oh, wait, you are...

Seriously a fucking screen shot of the S&P and DOW was your basis of fact... FUCK, this is the problem with America right now...

While I am far from being the utmost authority on economics, I had a parent who owned a bank, and was in corporate banking/finance/stock market for their entire life...

@sgboarder hit it on the head, and as he said, he was being light on his estimations...

Go back to watching youtube videos with a tinfoil hat @mikehoncho

What’s your take on the situation from the inside? I know it’s not gonna be statistical or anything but still, it would very interesting to hear a first person account on how you guys in Sweden have been managing/“managing” the epidemic

For me personally, nothing has really change. Life goes on almost exactly as before the virus. Got my Easter trip cancelled but other than that nothing major.

Vail resorts are going in on the proof of vaccination for dine-in this winter and  😷 for indoor settings. Also all employees must have gotten the 💉…

Not all resorts will do this, but I bet the majority of publicly traded and major VC operations will adopt the same policies.

No one wants to be the first, but once one does all the rest tend to follow.

This shit isn’t going away.

Had a buddy bail on Baldface this year because he refuses to get the 💉

If he doesn’t change his mind, it could be years before he makes it

Regulations aside, I'll ditch the mask while riding (unless conditions dictate) but continue masking in line and the lift. Even with my microchip and even in California, I see too many knuckleheads doing stupid shit to not take some simple precautions. I'd feel more comfortable if we were still dealing early variants, but Delt changed the game and governments and companies haven't adjusted guidance and procedures accordingly.

Unless the situation changes pretty dramatically, I'll stick to the West Coast states again this year. The vaccination rates-- and coincidentally the confirmed case numbers --in the northern Rocky states and Utah are fucking terrible.

Yup, it’s entirely frustrating. The wife’s doc has agreed to do a hip replacement on her, but guess what?

All the fucking unvaccinated dipshits are clogging up our medical infrastructure and so Intermountain Hospitals have suspended all elective surgeries….

So the life changing ( and severe pain reducing ) hip replacement my wife needs is held up by assholes, who don’t believe in getting vaccinated, but sure believe in everything thing else medical once they come down with the COVID, and have no problem overrunning our medical infrastructure.

While I don’t wish anyone to get sick and die, at this point I have no sympathy for those that come down with COVID and need to be hospitalized due to their own negligence.
