I'd assume so since some of the riders live in countries where that vehicle isn't legal to drive

// also, I feel like most of these riders are already driving nicer rigs than the bronco sport (Tundras, 4runners, F150s, etc)

FWT is back on, don't know how this happened so under the radar, but nice to put on at work:

FWT is back on, don't know how this happened so under the radar, but nice to put on at work:

Been a weird year for events. Yesterday was announced to be Kings and Queens of Corbetts at Jackson with minimal hype or fanfare. Haven't seen any results yet, looks like they're trying to build up hype for the after-the-fact broadcast on 2/22.

I actually don't mind them doing Kings and Queens as a pre-recorded event. The footage and runs are always super fun, but watching it in real time is always weird with sub-optimal camera angles and a ton of dead time. Looking at the course preview, looks like they put a series of serious cheese wedges on the course this year too.

I'm excited to watch that event, cool how it's morphed from a casual local event to much bigger deal.

Also it's interesting watching these other events after natural selection...

Hans's back 3 to wall ride is just ABSURD. after Mikkel in NS with the rock tap, it seems we will be seeing some rather creative uses of rocks in contest snowboarding haha

Yeah, that rock ride is totally insane. Probably one of the most gnarly things to ever happen in corbets.

Repeat post - last 3 days of pow with Phil on the 2020

Not mad if this becomes more common! Was pretty bummed how little they seemed to reward it at NS

Also honestly not the worst idea to aim for rock in those sketchy light conditions in corbets! 😳

for real, such cool creativity with rather heavy consequences. corbets is already crazy town as it is, and adding a rock ride in is next level.

@spenser, now i have to watch this edit again! i want to see the back rodeo he is practicing at the bar at the end on tape. would like to get one of those down on utah excursion in march

Haha, he was talking about the time he was riding with Nicolas Muller years ago - they used to ride Eaglecrest a little on their way to Haines with absinthe. Something about a switch front rodeo he did on a classic hip here..

Hans wuz robbed. I don't care that he butt-checked on the bottom kicker or that I don't remember a single other trick he pulled. Motherfucking backside 360 to wall ride into motherfucking Corbets. Just... JFC.

I mean, fucking look at it!

The winner's run was smooth, but I literally don't remember anything about it. That wall ride was an all-time trick that I will never forget.

Yuki Kadano's first drop was dope too, that big switch backside 1. He said in the interview afterwards he'd never dropped a cliff before, which is insane if true. I'm thinking it might be lost in translation or he misspoke, going from from never having dropped a cliff before to backside 1 into Corbets sounds like a damned aggressive progression haha.

How about J-Rob though? 🤙

Cool to see him in the lineup and taking creative lines in what's essentially a huck fest to garage sale contest. And Elias' methods were sick and his runs were underrated. You'd think a hippy dippy communal judging by peers in a contest about the couloir would give Hans the win, but...

I ended up seeing all the highlights on social media before the recap came out, but I watched the whole thing anyway. Don't get me wrong, Corbet's and Natural Selection were sick, but they kind of disappointed me in how they reverted to the same old same old.

I totally agree, super rad and ground breaking and all that, but watching mcmorris hit the same features literally every single run and score higher than ben or mikel who switched it up every run was a little disappointing

In the end it's exactly like slopestyle contests where its all about the most rotations

Edit: also they need to find announcers who aren't friends with the athletes so they can be a little more honest when someone is blowing it
