The Tattoo Thread
We had one of these on EL 1 & 2, but I don't think 3 ever had one.
I actually have an appointment today
Ignore my hairy butt cheek. The upper inner thigh (where it gets soft below the belt) hurt like hell
I feel like I am talking to myself in here, but fuck it. Getting more done in early Dec.
This is my most recent one on my left leg, start of a whole comic leg piece with spider-gwen, batgirl, dp, asterix and obelix, singularity, GL and others. That spider-gwen was shown in total tattoo magazine, i think, although the crotch has kinda dropped a touch more than the reference material and there needs to be more white to the suit/cowl. And yes, my legs are naturally hairless.
Have half of a piece on my right leg that hasn't been touched for a few years - headless horseman from a stepchild snowboard on the outside of my lower leg, then two portraits of johnny depp and christina ricci on the inside of my lower leg from sleepy hollow plus a new england wooden bridge on my right thigh and a hand with a quill on my foot. y left arm is also full with a checkerboard to my lower arm, a red and black dotwork piece to the wrist, 3 halo sticky medals to the outside of that lower arm and then biomech with wicker to the top of my arm. All pics of those aren't on this pc but will find them and have probably posted them on previous EL iterations.

I was thinking of making a Tattoo thread the other day, but then saw we already had one. Used to participate on EL 2, one of the things I remember was a Nordic artist I posted there and now I forgot who it was which bums me out. I used to follow tattoo stuff on Tumblr and stopped a while back, Instagram is the king nowadays for following artists but I don't even have that so I'm out of the loop.
Anyway, I just watched a Vice thing on Yakuza/gangs in Japan and spent most of it admiring their tattoo work so I spent some time searching up Irezumi later on. Your piece is cool Peter, post more.
Semi-related to EL, I've never been able to find mountain work I really liked until I saw some of Lisa Orth's pieces. What do you guys think of her work? I've been into more monochromatic line stuff lately compared to the traditional/neo-traditional stuff I was all about a while back.
Long post, sorry.
butt fuck it.
lol
I had to check if I wrote it that way. I am at work so I can't post the final pictures of my leg, but I had some Tebori ie hand done work done of it.
that's rad, peter.
lots of cool stiff in here. digging those mountains, dandan.
I've seen a lot of folks with that style of just trees going up from their wrists/ankles, kinda like this:
I've had so many ideas for tattoos over the years and still haven't committed any to my skin, haha. partly waiting til I can afford to get a lot, cause I know I'm probably not going to be able to stop once I start, and partly waiting til I'm set in a career where I know they won't be a dealbreaker.
latest idea is to get the state motto's from MN & WI ("L'etoile du nord" and "Forward," respectively) done in a banner above my elbow on the back of each arm.
Not sure why I never clicked on this thread before but damn that is fresh @Peter

I want to get something similar to this but on my calf, but with a narrow path cutting threw the trees so it can look like a singletrack mtn bike trail or fresh tracks thru the trees.
Sitting at the shop...waiting for the pain to begin again
Lined up a shop in Tokyo for another one...less than ten months ago I didn't have a single one and now damn near my whole left leg is covered,....
