Yeah, I was pretty hyped on that. Our friend who also rides a pow hull has a front 5 tap on that tree, almost front 7 but hasn’t stuck it yet.

He is quite small, haha. I knew that, but seeing him next to “short” boards puts it into perspective. I’m surprised he’s only on the 53, I would have thought 59 from seeing him ride it

It does seem like it’ll be really durable. I’m easy on gear, but still. The pants I got have ~10 touring days on them and look new. Kinda over trying anything but Volcom anymore. Just works for me and has… Read more»

I had about 200 days on my 2014 slx. Picked up 2015s to have for the future.. half season into using them, I also broke out a lace channel, luckily right at the end of my Bachelor trip. Not really… Read more»

That was the first thing that made me want padding. I did it before they produced it themselves… used those old hexagon Burton foam pads to the same effect. Especially if you use forward lean, bare metal really allows your… Read more»

Scored a deal on a pair of Volcom guide pants and they just arrived. My my, these are quite nice. I’ve of course fondled 3L gore in the shop, but never owned any as it’s not actually necessary, but I… Read more»

I have two pairs of ions and have alternated each between chairlift & splitting. I have a pair of SLX from a few years ago with vibram soles that I could try again and compare, but generally haven’t really noticed… Read more»

Haven’t been splitting, but finally got around to finishing this padding mod. Was going to shave the pads to look less rough-cut, but would have only been cosmetic. Used 3M 300LSE adhesive and it seems to be really solid. The… Read more»

Got warm again and is raining on most of the mountain. Still fairly fun on groomers, but sometimes when things aren’t great, it’s time to pull out the murder wagon.

Guess that makes sense. A little more usable length will allow a slightly more flexible feeling, and stability for landings. I am just used to a shorter, stiff tail at this point so guess it just comes down to what… Read more»

You don’t need anything special for spray paint, but I’d suggest an enamel variety. I tend to grab rustoleum in most cases, as it works well and is widely available. If you want a middle ground between gloss and matte,… Read more»
